The bond they shared, it was something Mia couldnât put into words nor did she mind that. She knew what they had was special, and that was the important thing. Noah, and now their babies, meant the world to her, they were her family. It was something she never thought she was going to have again. Smiling up at him, she gave a small shrug, âIâm always full of blushing,â she laughed a little, leaning into his neck, nuzzling slightly. Lips pressed softly and sweetly to the warm skin.Â
Breathing out slowly, she looked up at him now, lips pressed together some, mulling over the words. It took her a few moments, but she gave a small nod, âThat makes sense cause - cause we always do talk about it, and you tell me first what my punishment is gonna be, too. And you take care of me after, too.â There was part of her mind that did get it, that knew none of it was right. It was just hard to fully process it, maybe part of her didnât truly want to, either - to view her father as a bad man even if she knew that was accurate. Her head dropped some, âIt - Itâs like that?â she asked, though she didnât want to think about the diner at all. It was still a topic her therapist had trouble approaching with her since her reaction to it was never good. Sometimes she shut down, other times, she got upset or scared. The thing that made her ok in the moment was truly that Noah was there, arms around her, warm voice filling her ears, all the little pieces reminding her she was safe, everything was ok. Head slowly lifted, a small smile forming, âGood cause Iâm gonna hold you to that promise,â she assured.Â
With the fort cleaned up, Mia nodded at him, âOk, thank you,â she called back then headed to her little sister. Leading the girl into the bedroom, Lily smiled, âItâs a big fort,â she raised her brows, Mia helping push aside the sheet so the girl could climb inside. Mia climbed in behind her, âYeah, do you like it? If not, itâs ok, you can use our room. We sleep in here sometimes anyways,â she offered. Lily shook her head, âNo, I couldnât. I like this, the lights - uh - the little lights. Theyâre cute.â The two girls spoke for awhile, but after nearly 45 minutes, Mia finally emerged. Quietly closing the door behind her, she went into the bedroom, closing their door, âDaddy,â she murmured, smiling at the sight of the stuffies, âyou put âem all on the bed,â she bounced some, climbing up, and making a little path around her to crawl between the pile of stuffies. âShe said - she said sheâd think about it. Sheâs scared, but I promised she wouldnât go back if she does tell or doesnât. I hope thatâs ok. I think sheâll do it, but she was just very tired and needed to sleep.â
There were thousands of words the male could use to describe the woman in his arms. Adorable was always the first one to come to mind, sweet as candy was easily on the top of the long list, and full of blushing was absolutely one too. They all seemed like cute ways of describing the other and maybe they were, but they all seemed to fit his thoughts towards the female. âYou certainly are,â he quietly mumbled back before arms gently squeezed the other in an affectionate hug. Something just tight enough for affection but just loose enough to make sure he didnât squeeze her too much.
Maybe it wasnât the greatest topic given their current situation. But it was always hard to push things so harsh to the side, not when he wanted to make sure she understood certain things were right and certain things were wrong. âExactly,â he replied with a small nod to confirm her own words. It took a long time for him to wrap his head around the fact that punishments were good and needed, but he had learned the conversations before and after were just as â if not, more â important. Though he did know bringing up the diner might not be the best thing for either of them considering they hadnât spoken about it much. They were on solid ground now but the topic was still shaky and he didnât bring it up much, he didnât want to risk pushing her into a negative space when he was trying hard to make sure she was relaxed. âKinda.â Was the only reply he gave towards her question, mostly because he wanted to push away the topic as soon as possible. With the babies, her sister showing up, and her headspace, she deserved to be able to be in a good space right now. âI think you can do that,â he managed to chuckle out lightly with his own small smile.
Making sure the bedroom was picked up and at least half-ready for bed was most important while he waited for the other. Hands made sure the blankets were pulled down just enough for the pair to climb in and the pillows were sitting up enough for them. Though he made sure there was still room at the end of the bed for all of her stuffed animals, not wanting to find a place for them without the other. It didnât seem like too long before his attention turned to the sound of the door closing and her voice. Her words had him offering a small chuckle as he watched her, his head nodding. âI wasnât sure where theyâd be comfortable so, I figured you could find a spot for them in the bedroom.â After all, they were her stuffies, she knew them better than anyone. Though his attention did turn back to her words soon after, Noah slowly moving to sit beside her on the bed. âThatâs okay,â he assured. âWe donât have to figure everything out tonight, obviously. Besides, maybe you two could do some sort of sister bonding thing tomorrow or something before we call.â
