Hey, since I get a lot of bots messaging this account, if you’re messaging me can you please confirm that you’re not a bot? I won’t respond otherwise. I know it seems pedantic but it really does happen a lot and I just can’t tell anymore.

in light of current political events
So fun fact, I was probably one of the few Welsh people actually rooting for England last night. I don’t normally, and I would have wanted Spain to crush them in the final - but I just thought it would be better to see England in the final than Argentina.
It truly just came down to me straight up not liking the football team. It’s obviously insane to hold it against Argentine people as a whole - and I don’t. I don’t believe that everyone in a country is a hive mind like a lot of people on the internet seem to.
I just don’t like that Argentina can be incredibly violent on the pitch and get away with it. So I wanted England to win last night for the first time ever.
Let's say I really wanted to reduce the number of children who die in car accidents. Car accidents are really bad, right? Nobody disagrees about that. And it would be much better for both the environment and the kids' health if they spent more time walking, or taking the bus. Perfectly reasonable. More cars off the road, safer roads, fewer kids getting hurt, healthier kids. A win-win!
Therefore, let's ban children from traveling by car and require all cars to have a scanner on the door that scans the government ID of everyone who gets in the car to make sure no kids are in there. After all, kids get hurt in car accidents all the time! We need to ban this right away!
nigel farage resigning to try and delay the investigation into him and immediately restanding for election in the same constituency, only for every single major party to say 'yeah nah have fun pal, see you back at work for the investigation' and refusing to entertain him is hilarious enough on its own.
the fact that the only person running against him is fucking count binface, who is promising to build one (1) affordable house, is hysterical. and he has a not zero chance of winning.
do you guys remember when we used to elect a prime minister and then they’d stay in that job until the next election? six resignations in under ten years jfc.
They’re making fun of Aberfan, now 🙃
Reform UK has just unveiled a new policy threatening to target immigrants in Green controlled areas. This is a threat, plain and simple. It's a lot of fancy words for "give us power or else we will destroy the lives of immigrants in your community". They know they'll never win over anyone with a fucking spine or basic moral compass so they've resorted to intimidation tactics and mask off Trumpian policies. It's revolting.
If you live in the United Kingdom, make sure you're registered to vote in local elections on May 7th. If you're in Wales Plaid Cymru is the favoured to win and if you're in England it's Greens, but check your local polling to see who gives you the best chance of beating Reform.
We can't let these snivelling scumfucks use the lives of innocent people as nothing more than a bargaining chip
I spent a lot of time thinking about who I am going to vote for tomorrow in the Senedd elections, and I have finally settled on Plaid Cymru.
From the get go, I knew the most important thing for this election is to keep Reform out of the Senedd. I was wondering if voting Green would be a good idea in hopes they’d overtake Reform - but I just don’t think that’s likely.
Plaid needs a strong government in order to keep Reform at bay, so they’ll be getting my vote tomorrow. And I urge all Welsh people who don’t want English nationalists to take over our Welsh government and bring us nothing but fascism.
What I think is really interesting (and really scary) is that we’re clearly seeing the beginnings of Reform becoming the main party for people on the right. It’s a slow shift, but it’s one I think we’re going to see over the next couple of decades.
The one slither of hope I have is that I think the same is happening on the left with Labour and Greens. But that transition will be even slower.
I want to make nothing clear: While I hate Labour - I would be willing to vote for them to keep Reform out. But only if I truly believed Reform had a good chance of winning in my area and voting Labour was the only way to stop that from happening.
I don’t know, I think political smear campaigns should be illegal. But that’s just me.
You could not pay me to give a fuck about 20 mph speed zones. I’m sorry. But you can’t.
I cannot drive due to disability. It is much harder for me to get around than it is for anyone who brings up 20 mph speed zones to me as a reason to get rid of the Senedd.
People who drive have no idea how much of a privilege it is to drive.
Every time I apply for a job, the first thing I do is check to see how I can get there. If it’s not an easy route, I cannot apply for that job. If I could drive, I’d have more options.
Every time I want to do something for my leisure - I have to think about how I am going to get there.
It’s late at night, I have to get home - better hope someone will give me a lift (to be fair, a lot of the time people do offer me lifts) or I’m a vulnerable woman walking in a quiet street in the dark.
Public transport is a nightmare. It takes longer for me to get to a lot of places. A 30 minute drive can be 1 hour and 30 minutes on the train due to changes.
I’m not saying I agree with 20 mph speed zones. I’m simply saying I do not give a fuck. You are lucky to be able to drive.
And I am certainly not going to make a move that will further erase my cultural identity over them. I agree that we need to vote Labour out - for multiple reasons, including but definitely not limited to 20 mph speed zones. But erasing the whole Senedd? Nah, miss me with that. We don’t need another Tryweryn.
I’m back. I decided that Starmer counts as Tory scum and I have a rant about Welsh politics incoming.
By now, you all must have seen the news that Gaza had officially run out of food, as one of the main aid suppliers in Gaza, World Food Program, had announced that their stock has been completely depleted, leaving just a few days for community kitchens to function.
This comes after more than 50 days (and counting) of Israel's complete closure of the borders, preventing food and medicine, among other life essentials, from entering Gaza. There are children crying out of hunger with trucks loaded with over 100,000 tons of food mere minutes away from them, which Israel continues to prevent from entering besieged Gaza.
This also comes after Israel had deliberately destroyed swaths of farmlands in Gaza, specifically targeting them with bombs and chemical weapons that destroy the chance of growing crops. Israel also made sure bakeries are destroyed as well as water sources.
Diabolical is an understatement when it comes to the Zionist entity.
There are still things you can do. On top of raising awareness and protesting when possible, independent organisations like APN are working directly with farmers in Gaza to rehabilitate the agricultural sector and restore local food systems to combat famine, counter the blockade and build food sovereignty. You can donate to their Revive Gaza's Farmlands initiative here.
Additionally, keep in mind that this means whatever food supplies remain available in Gaza now costs astronomical amounts of money, so keep sharing and donating to individual fundraising campaigns. Gazafunds is a good source if you're not sure where to start. Remember that your donations and shares are often the only source of hope for these families.
It genuinely scares me that Welsh people actually want the Senedd gone. Read up on our history, I’m begging you.
