“I’m sorry for what my father did to you and everyone at the temple..” – @skygxl
"...your apologies don't mean much... but I appreciate it anyway," Nakia says softly. "I'm sorry for scaring you."
"Fine, I won't harm them," Vader agreed. "But she is staying here. And you are coming with me."
The little girl hesitates.
“Promise me, daddy. Swear on my life you won’t hurt them.”
She needed to know that the women in her life would remain unharmed. That she’d see Nakia again.
"I swear on your life. I will not harm them," Vader swore. "Now, come with me."
Perhaps she was naive. But she believed him. The force sisters hand was gently squeezed by her own in an attempt of reassurance.
“You’ll be okay Nakia. I made him promise. And when a promise is made, it can’t ever be broken.” And if it were, she’d bring a storm. Or die. Cause he did swear on her life, after all.
The child tries to show no fear when she lets Nakia go, and takes a brave step forward towards Darth Vader. Taking his hand. The stormtroopers watch her silently, and it makes her anxious. She shies away, trying to hide behind his black cape and find comfort by his side. Gripping onto him.
Darth Vader brought her to his ship, silently dismissing the stormtroopers. "Did she hurt you?" He asked.
“No. She didn’t hurt me. But she did scare me a few times though.. she told me about you.”
"What did she say?" His vocoder didn't leave any room for emotion but there was almost an apprehensive note to his voice.
