! Mini Hiatus ! - 1 week

Luke isn't cooperating with me so I'm going to give him a little break (more than what he already had). It'll probably last a week, I'm going to try and get his muse active again by doing whatever I can. It might last shorter than that actually.. Anyways, I'll be here just not here; lurking.
"Carlos is a good leader too I guess but he ain’t you. You have plenty a good ideas and shit. If the group ever got separated, I’d want to follow you not him or Clem. And ya’ know, it ain’t impossible. Ya’ just gotta’ talk to the right person. Plenty a people would be glad to jump in bed with ya."
"Now you're just flatterin' me. My ideas aren't that good. They're too risky and you know it. They work but they're too dangerous for most people to feel comfortable with and because of that they end up failin'. That's really comfortin' thing, to know you got my back like that. I feel like I'm losin' that in this group."
"Let’s hope they have batteries, too." She wasn’t as worried about food as being able to keep communications with the outside — anyone at this point. It had been almost three months since she heard anything. She looked back at the man, tucking her walkie in her back pocket. "Lead the way."
"Let's hope not. You need to throw that stupid thing away. It's not gonna work, no ones gonna pick up." Luke shook his head, rolling his eyes as she looked at the walkie talkie. He was about to just take it and throw it out. The thing was useless and the batteries could go towards something useful like a flashlight. "We're not grabbin' batteries for that thing."
She did not want to have to repeat herself, especially what she’d just said, but that would probably only help raise Luke’s temper, so she reluctantly spoke louder. “I said, thanks. I was being reckless, and… I won’t do it again. Happy?”
"Woah, woah, no need for hostility. Yeah, it's nice to hear that from you. Still don't know why you're so angry; I'm over it already." His arms crossed over his chest. Strange for her to stay upset for so long.. "My feet are startin' to hurt."

[Eyes looked up at the other as she shifted on her feet. This was probably one of the first times in a while that the she had seen the other shouting at someone, let alone herself.]
“Look, I was out trying to get supplies,
Got stuck in the middle of a herd,
That’s why I took forever!”
"Jesus El, how far out did you go to run into a herd? This is why I say, if you're going to go out stay close. Could've lost you." Luke had a deep set frown on his face but he didn't let it stay for long, moments after he was grinning and lightly punched Ellie's shoulder. "I don't give you enough credit. Got through a horde and looked for supplies. You're great El. Did you get anything?"

"If you're really concerned about food and personal items there was a store we passed on our walk. A little convenience place, since it's up in the mountains I don't expect it to be raided. Maybe we can find something there."

"I guess look for clothes, although I'm sure we won't be able to find coats and the like, And I doubt there'll be ammo left here" Em said, glancing around each store she could see from the entrance of the town.
"--And if we look hard enough, I'm sure we'll at least find canned beans or something, right?"
"No, we won't. This place shut down when it was still warm out.. There might be stock in the back for winter if we're lucky.." Luke stretched his arms with a grin spreading on his face. "Well, can't say there is non unless we look. Something has to be left. Goin' to clothes, then food, then ammo just in case. Can't have another team comin' here and finding ammo; we'd get our asses chewed out."
He paused, "If anything it'd be the nasty canned goods like green beans. Nothing good like beans but maybe if we're lucky."
“Honestly? So you’d drop this conversation and focus on what we have to do,” she muttered, just barely loud enough for him to be able to hear her. “...And thanks. I’ll admit that it was dumb to do that without even warning you first, though.”
"You are being awfully unpleasant, Clem." Luke crossed his arms; he wasn't up for fighting with Clementine anymore. She became a bit scary when she was angry.. "What? You're mumblin' I can't hear a word you're sayin'."
Clementine grimaced at the mention of Nick. Her lip curled a little and she turned her head to look into Luke’s eyes.
“He’s an idiot… he nearly killed me!” she shuddered at the thought of the gun blast narrowly missing her. “What kind of adult points a loaded gun a kid?” she muttered. Wincing as Luke cleaned the wound. When he mentioned the dog she felt a pang of regret. She hated that she had to kill it.
"It was fun… until it mauled me" she said with a sigh. Looking at her mangled arm and blinking away tears.
"I deserve this scar, that poor dog was just hungry I know…."
"He's not an idiot he's stressed! Don't call him an idiot, he's got a lot on his plate." Luke snapped, sending a glare at Clem as he wrapped her arm. He took a breath, focused on the wrapping instead of the words she was giving his friend. No matter what happened he apologized. It should have been done. "Dogs aren't nice when they attack. You don't need to feel guilty about that okay? I understand. Though you shouldn't have just killed it.. just.. give it the food and run away or did something else happen?"
"Don’t get all sappy on me. I’m just sayin’, Clem’s a kid. You’re a better leader. Ya need to get some better self-esteem or somethin’. Ya need to get laid."
"I'm just sayin'! I'm not even the leader. I don't know where that came from. It's more.. carlos.. I guess. I'm not sure. Woah, I have good self esteem and gettin' laid at a time like this is impossible."
She nodded, confirming that she was okay with him opening and eating it here. “It’s fine, really. I found a good bit of food back at the cabin, so it’s no big deal." Honestly they probably didn’t have enough food through the group for her to be able to rationally let Luke have the can, but he needed it, and they’d be at the lodge soon.
"Really? Thanks, Clem." Luke smiled as he drew his pocket knife to open the can. Again he hesitated then spoke, "I kinda feel bad. What if Becca needs this.. should I share with her? Should I share with the group?" He sighed but opened the can anyways. He had given his food away which he probably shouldn't have done.. "As long as you have more it shouldn't be a big deal.."
