The actor turned idol is sporting his usual casual attire of matching black long sleeves and cap. He appears to be in a recording studio which fans speculates he owns.

On April 29, 2017, following the release of OKGO’s 96line cover, the leader of the bubble gum boy group also revealed a cover performance of the song ‘Through the Night’ by IU. The actor and main vocalist, Rowan Choi posted the four minute video in the group’s official Youtube channel. He is seen wearing a pink sweater, and with his guitar - a popular image of the idol. Although he did not reveal his face throughout the cover song video, fans are hyped and enthusiastic at Rowan’s sweet voice along the acoustic rendition of the song.

Last March 14, OK GO’s Rowan Choi and Delta Son @dvlta was spotted attending the VIP premier of director Kim Deoksoo’s latest film, “Part time Spy”, starring for Kang Yewon and Han Chaeah. This is the first appearance of the two after the news of Jioh leaving OKGO and 2k Entertainment.
‘Part-time Spy’ is undercover spy comedy film drawing a joint investigation of Jang Young Sil (Kang Yewon) and Na Jung An (Han Chae Ah). The film dragged global sales market with its unique elements and outstanding comic characters even if it wasn’t completed. The film is set to premier today, March 16, 2017.
Whilst the bundle of reporters demand answers from Jioh’s sudden departure from OK GO, neither idols gave any respond. The silence of the group did successfully fueled various speculation to why Jioh really left OKGO.

While fans are quick to assume a dating scandal, the producers of We Got Married released a statement that AVID’s Soul ( @soulxkde and OKGO’s Rowan will also participate in their hit variety show.
The producer said, “Rowan Choi has been in talks to appear in the slow since late December last year, but due to his busy schedules, he couldn’t pair him until earlier this year. Soul came along and most plans sailed smoothly.” They also stated that despite the two idols active from the same agency, they are not very well acquainted.

Rowan Choi surprised fans when the announcement of the Japanese film ‘One Week Friends’ made headlines in the web sphere. According to an article posted in a Japanese portal, Rowan Choi was selected as the male lead for the manga franchise and began filming for the live adaptation film back in late 2016. The project wasn’t meant to keep a secret however, the internal conflicts with the production delayed the articles to hit public. They also stated that the film was bound to be cancelled due to financial issues, albeit the Director, Shosuke Murakami decided to push through. After so much hassle, the Japanese film will open in Japanese cinema early this year.
One Week friends is about the high school student Yuki Hase (Rowan Choi) wants to become close with classmate Kaori Fujimiya (Haruna Kawaguchi) who is alway by herself. Kaori Fujimiya refuses to become close with Yuki Hase, because she forgets her friends every new Monday. Even though Kaori tells Yuki why she doesn't want to become friends, Yuki still wants to become close to her.
It is a Japanese youth romance film written by Yoko Izumisawa, starring Haruna Kawaguchi and Rowan Choi and based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Matcha Hazuki. It is scheduled for release in Japan by Shochiku on February 18, 2017.
Rowan Choi greets the New Years with a heartfelt performance.
On January 2, 2017, the actor-musician released a three minute video in OKGO’s official Youtube channel. Rowan appears to be riding on a boat with his guitar whilst exploring a heartfelt performance of his latest online released track ‘You’re Pretty’ which is also included in the TVN drama, Goblin’s OST album.
Soon after the impromptu performance, Rowan revealed that he is currently spending the New Years in Milan with his family. He also warmly greeted the viewers and wish them an abundant 2017. Along with this, the actor and idol-musician asked for continuous support from fans; hinting that 2017 will be his year.

We witnessed the former child star grew before our very eyes. Rowan Choi started his acting career at the young age of seven, swooping our hearts with his touching performances for the films Mirror and grace and King’s misery. During his teenage years, he transitioned to music where he began performing on the streets of Seoul, later releasing two independent albums he self produced. After taking a hiatus in the industry for more than a year, Rowan Choi made a surprising comeback in the big screen as he featured in two full length film. It seems that the young boy has finally grown up, and ready to face the industry ㅡ prepared and geared up!
Q: You’ve been away from the spotlight for quite sometime, how is it?
It’s actually pretty great. I pretty much dedicated my time in the university as well as taking lessons to improve my singing and dancing skills. It is really nice to have time for myself. After I took a break from acting, the vacation really gave me the opportunity to get to know myself better. I discover my passion in music, and my interest in linguistics.
Q: We all know that your father is your number one fan, what was his reaction when you decided to take a break from acting?
At first, he was disappointed. My father knew that I have a potential and often encourage me but after I explained my side to him, he finally understood. I guess the transition became easy because both my father and mother supported me all the way. At the end, they just want their son to be happy.
Q: You made a splash when you entered the music scene. A lot have been wondering why you chose the independent scene? And what pushed you to leave?
I am in love with the idea of indie music. There’s so much liberation when you are a part of it, and I think it really helped me a lot to be surrounded with those [kind of] people. During my early years, I’ve been spoon-feed of what to do ㅡ in acting, but through music I become myself. It is a little sad that the indie scene is so underrated, I wish they [would] get more exposure.
Somehow, a part of me knew that I would want more than just performing. I am a greedy person and as years passed, I began to crave I want my music to be heard by a lot of people ㅡ reach their hearts. Also, it has been sad doing this alone, so I left.
Q: What is next for Rowan Choi?
There’s plenty on my plate. I am excited to announce that I will be returning to the field again. I’ve been preparing for many things [that] I can offer to everyone. I am happy to reveal that I have plans of releasing an album along with the amazing and talented people I call friends. They are awesome, you should really check it out. Also there has been talks for a full length film next year. Please look forward to it.

The child actor turned soloist Rowan Choi joined the cast for the independent film ‘In Between Seasons’ together with veteran actress Bae Jongok and Ji Yoonho. Lee Dongeun‘s debut film, In Between Seasons will premier in Busan International Film festival this coming october. It is a remake of Lee’s own graphic novel and the second film produced by the Myung Films Institute.
The story revolves Mikyung, the mother of Soohyun and his friend of Yongjoon. Mikyung lives apart from her husband and raises Soohyun, her high school-aged son. One day, Soohyun brings home his friend Yongjoon to stay. A few years later, after completing his military service, Soohyun gets into an accident while on a trip with Yongjoon and is hospitalized in critical condition. Soon after, Mikyung discovers a secret her son and Yongjoon have been keeping from her.
Although Rowan Choi personally addressed his comeback in the acting field as to be false in his last interview, many fans have speculated that he’ll be officially returning on this film.
