Hey, you haven't posted in a month, are you ok?
Well, as you can see from the post we made on St. Patrick’s Day, JD and I (this is Beth, if your process of elimination is broken) are actually still alive. Thank you so very, very much for being concerned though. It warms our little pea hearts to know that you care.
We would like to apologize for our absence from the Tumblr world. Put simply, real life threw spike plates under our tires and we’re still waiting for the tow truck to bring us back home. (If you want details, you’ll have to ask JD or myself personally. I wouldn’t recommend it though. Seriously, have you ever known a Slytherin to give out personal details like lollipops? Didn’t think so.)
Now, we are going to try—extra emphasis on the word try, here—TRY to work things out into some kind of regularity (we’re going to start the metaphorical Tumblr Activia), but we’ve been having a little trouble lately because, frankly, our creative juices are more or less gone. We’re scraping the bottom of the barrel here.
What we need right now is for you bright young whipper-snappers to start sending in some more submissions. Any submissions. Even ones that you think are terrible. We promise, we’ll find a use for them. Even if it’s just printing them out and using them for fuel to start our campfires. (We don’t really go camping that often, but maybe we’ll try if we get enough awful submissions.)
Now, if you’re a bit shy or new to the way things work on this blog, here are some helpful submission hints:
Gryffindors aren’t brave, kind, or generous. They are reckless, stupid, and have a pack mentality.
Slytherins are not evil. They’re also not surprisingly nice. They’re also not ambiguous. They’re all three at once.
So help us, we know that Hufflepuffs are good finders. There are other traits and stereotypes to choose from. If you can’t figure them out, talk to a Hufflepuff. Trust us. They’re very vocal about their lesser-known house traits.
Ravenclaws are snotty little know-it-alls, but no one says anything because they know more hexes than you know words in the English language.
At this time, we’re more likely to use your single-house submissions than your dual-house submissions.
We just want to thank everyone for being so patient with us while we went on this unplanned hiatus. Really. If you stayed with this blog, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
