Fun fact: A lot of people think this is the official Shiny Toy Guns Music video for their cover of ‘Stripped’, but it’s actually a fan made video by a talented youtuber who would make these kinds of videos. I can no longer find his channel on YouTube but I do remember this isn’t the only fan made STG video he’s made. Anyone else remember?

MXMS - Timebomb

The latest slice of pop horror from MXMS’ funereal brand of music, Ariel Levitan and producer Jeremy Dawson present “Timebomb”. Ripping through with the acidic drip of vocalist Ariel Levitan’s venomous spit, on “Timebomb” the track’s sinister flow  and bassy boom is met with a grungy distortion. Meant to address the issues of mental health, the track which leads as a follow-up to their recently released EP “Funeral Pop I” and is written about as what happens when we let our problems of mental health go unchecked as the band explains:

“300 million+ ppl around the world suffer from depression and related mental illness. ‘Timebomb’ brings a hot take focus on what it’s like when we stay unmedicated and untreated; either intentionally or unintentionally; and regardless of what form your treatment might be. Our minds are a ticking clock without… “

So if you’re like me, you enjoy all of STG’s music, but there are some people who prefer Carah over Sisely, or vice versa. But have you heard the original Shiny Toy Guns singer, Ursula Vari? She has a very unique voice in my opinion. But it’s just nice to hear the difference in all these talented women’s voices.
