The first piece in the series is done! Using designs based on boarded up windows of vacant properties, I'm exploring texture and fill patterns. For Herberton I have used Brick Stitch, Long and Short Stitch and Satin Stitch. The background is painted calico.

I'm still looking for more source material, and have decided to open it up to the rest of Ireland. So if you know of a building that looks like this one, I'd be very grateful for a photo! And you will of course be credited for your part in the process.

Ahhh it’s done! With the help of my new awesome q-snap, I was able to finish this waaaay faster than before! The pattern for this one is up on sale on my Etsy as well!

The worst part ever though WAS THAT FONT. I had to do ¼ cross stitch so it fit nicely in the pattern and wasn’t all WHOA THATS SOME BIG FONT YOU GOT THERE BUDDY. Once I got more used to it, it wasn’t so bad. You may be able to tell where I started in it. XD I’ll let you guys guess. But it was fun! And it was good to try something new. :3

I’m really enjoying this Winnie the Pooh Gives no Fucks theme lately. I may do one final one in this series with Christopher Robin. It may be too much Pooh..? NAH NO SUCH THING I THINK.

I’m also working on a commission too so when I have a bit more done I’ll post a progress photo of that too <3
