HISTORY Confirmed To Be Disbanding After 4 Years

It has unfortunately been announced that HISTORY will officially be disbanding.

Following leader Song Kyungil’s enlistment, the remaining four members will also be fulfilling their mandatory military service soon.

On May 12, their agency FAVE Entertainment stated, “Even though HISTORY have concluded their promotions as a group, all five members will still remain with the company. After returning from the military, they will be carrying out individual activities. We are genuinely thankful for all the support that fans have given them for four years.”

HISTORY entered the music scene back in 2013 with their debut track “Dreamer.”

HISTORY’s Song Kyungil To Enlist For National Service Next Month

According to a report by Sports Donga, HISTORY’s leader Song Kyungil will be carrying out his mandatory national service starting December 8 as a conscripted policeman.

He will be receiving four weeks of training after which he will receive basic police training. Once his training is complete, Song Kyungil will likely be assigned to the police promotional unit.

Meanwhile, HISTORY debuted back in April 2013 with their single album “Dreamer.” Their most recent promotions were in April of this year, with their fifth mini album “HIM.”

History’s Leader Song Kyungil To Enlist In Mandatory Military Service Soon

History leader Song Kyungil will be enlisting in mandatory military service soon.

On September 7, a source from the idol’s agency FAVE Entertainment confirmed the news, saying, “Song Kyungil recently received notice of his admission into the the police promotional unit. The enlistment date has not yet been revealed, and we are waiting for it.”

The source continues, “Song Kyungil will be fulfilling his military duty as a conscripted policeman. He will enlist according to the date [of his enlistment].”

Conscription in South Korea is mandatory for all male citizens between the ages of 18 to 35 years old. As a conscripted policeman, Song Kyungil’s service period will likely last 21 months.
