oooh boy ok i do know most of their history but  not specifics like i do in my true major of study aka bo and hope but i’ll try my best!!

Okay so Roman and Marlena fell in love when Roman was assigned to protect Marlena from a serial killer. They were in love and raising Carrie and were happy BUT then Roman was framed to be a serial killer himself (when Marlena was pregnant with Sami and Eric rip) by Stefano. With the help of Bo and Abe and Eugene he cleared his name (it was Andre who was the killer but i digress)

Marlena popped out the twins and they were happy for like a month. Roman then set off to save Bo and Hope and other 80s characters no one cares about anymore except me bc their plane crashed on an island bc Andre hijacked the plane I think?? Anyway Roman and Stefano had a fight on the island on a cliff and Roman fell and died in Bo’s arm …BUT DID HE?

NAH BITCH HE’S BACK…kind of. A man in bandages shows up and new guy in town Victor Kiriakis has an interest in him….so he hires Bo’s stalker/ex bff Steve Johnson to watch over him. They call him the pawn or whatever and the pawn doesn’t know what the hell is going

eventually he’s out and about without bandages and now is the guy who calls himself John Black bc he saw the name on the Vietnam War Memorial plaque i think.

BUT fast forward to a lil while John and Marlena becomes besties but he’s a lil weird but she’s cool with it i guess. except she thinks he’s Stefano bc he has a phoenix tattoo but Marlena sees “proof” that Roman was surgically made to look like…John So then they go to an island or something i don’t remember but long story short John and Marlena like reunite on the island with Bo and Hope and Shane who followed them bc they thought John was Stefano. Also Russians were there bc Bo accidentally aided the Soviet Union but that’s a different storyline

Anyway John shows up now as Roman and everyone kind of accepts it kind of easily ?? lmao everyone but Carrie and Bo but they warm up to him and everyones happy till Marlena gets kidnapped by Orphesus. “Roman” rescues her and they’re happy for a week or two and then Marlena gets hit by a fucking plane.

“Roman” is depressed but goes on. He’s top cop he falls in love with a wonderful girl named Isabella and then bam! Marlena’s back but then bam! Roman’s back and then bam! I guess John Black is back??

Roman’s fucking pissed, John is depressed and having a crisis, Marlena is confused, Salem is confused, I’m confused 

Well Marlena and Roman get together bc it’s the right thing or smth bc Roman’s life been fucking hell and also I THINK Isabella gets pregnant around this time and her and John marry

Isabella pops out lil Brady and they’re happy but John still a lil thirsty for Marlena but he has other problems bc Isabella is dying!! and then in the saddest dool scene ever Isabella dies in John’s arms. Yikes!! John Black can never win

Except he can!! him and marlena have sex on a plane and baby Belle is conceived. But everyone think it’s Roman baby bc Sami changed the results, Sami eventually kidnapped Belle (lol) and admitted to it all. Roman left and died again in 1997 but he came back it’s fine
