Reading War and Peace for the second time and wishing for the tv adaptation that shows it as the soap opera it is.
Forget your 8 episode bbc adaptation. If the line accurate Pride and Prejudice from 1995 was 6 episodes for a 250-ish page book, that works out to 42-ish pages per hour. War and Peace (~1200 pages) could give you 28 hour-long episodes.
