I agree. Both are amazing characters. I always thought Rex/Racer X were my favorites i mean they were hot guys! Note I was an 8 year old. Lol but I must say that I've still loved Speed but my love for Horuko and Trixie has grown alot

Trixie's dad owns an aviation company, so she could provide the Racers transportation to Speed's abroad races.

Across Speed Racer media (manga, cartoons, comics, movie) Trix has done a lot to help the Racers.

She always there to support Speed's career and help him in whatever way necessary. She's stuck up for him. In comic issues Trixie gave up college to join the Go Team. Payed Pops's medical bills after he had a heart attack. She provided transportation to a race overseas.

I hope the Racers appreciate her. She deserves it.

The movie had to put an emphasis on Trixie's interest in racing and her driving skills, because her pilot skills are more or less not needed.

Think about it. She spotted for Speed from her copter during the Crucible, but he was only competing in that race to get back at Royalton. Speed doesn't professionally race in rallies. He competes in track races where it's unnecessary to have someone spot from a copter. Trixie probably helps out at Racer Motors by helping build cars or test driving prototypes, but her skills as a pilot go unneeded. And that's kinda sad.

You know who Trixie reminds me of? Asami from Legend of Korra. Feminine and badass. Stellar pilot and driving skills. Martial arts training and mechanical know-how.
