I would have loved to see Alice and Cecelia fight the jabberwocky. The intensity, the tragedy, the angst of it all.

She just wanted a hug so…))
This has gotta be my favorite Glass Believer scene. I just love everything about it. Ella is so excited to be there. Excited to be someplace where an epic battle takes place (warrior!Cinderella my beloved). When it turns out that nothing epic ever happened, it doesn't diminish her joy. She's in a beautiful place with the man she loves and she's peaceful and happy. Then Henry tells her he wants to build a house for them. For her, the woman whose home had been stolen from her. Henry wants to build for her four walls and a roof where she'll be loved and safe. To build a life with her. Then he pulls out a ring and the widest smile breaks across her face. She has to hold her breathe to keep from immediately saying "yes." And the implication of his words "like me and this lake, it doesn't come with anything else." All he has to give her his himself and he doesn't know if that's enough. But Ella doesn't see it like that. It was because of Henry that she started believing in the possibility of having an happy ending. Even when they had just he believed that she could have a better life. That she could be better. And because of that, Ella found the courage to let herself love and be loved. Henry has already given Ella more than any wish that a fairy godmother could've granted. Yet he still promises his heart to her. "Will you marry me?" Boring. Basic. Done before. "I can't offer you a legend but I can offer you my heart." Romantic. Brilliant. Incredible. Amazing. Showstopping. Spectacular. Epic. Totally unique. Completely not ever been done before. Then impatience wins in the end and all Ella wants to say is "yes."

Ella's glossed over trauma.
Believed that her mother abandoned her. Watched how her mother's leaving left her father a broken man which led to Ella believing that love only leads to pain.
Fell, with stepsister, through the ice of a frozen lake. Nearly died. Stepsister, Anastasia did die.
Father was murdered. Ella knew it was the prince who killed her father, so I presume that Ella witnessed her father's death.
Ella blamed herself for Ana's death, which her stepmother used to keep Ella under thumb. To punish Ella for something that was out of her control. To punish Ella for being saved by her father when Ana wasn't. Which must have further corrupted Ella's view of love.
Was locked away and forced into servitude. Spent years being emotionally and mentally abused by her stepmother.
Goes to the ball to kill the prince but when new friend Henry points out that killing the prince will get her killed, Ella only says that there is no happy ending for her. Cause it was never just about killing the prince. It was about Ella trying to die. She was just going to avenge her father while she did it.
"You're really here to help."
