More c4d experiments. Informed a bit by ancient cave paintings and the growth idea I was talking about a few posts ago. 🍄 I loved the texture and shadow generated on this, 🌘 makes it feel like petrified wood or crude oil. I guess it looks like it could be hand illustrated, drawn with the side of a graphite stick. Does it make you think of anything in particular? They made me think a bit of Jean Arp or remind me of @ronanbouroullec’s work for some reason. Here’s this mad blob thing! Enjoy. I’ve been getting to grips with @maxonc4d so will be uploading experiments from it every once in a while as I try new things. 👨‍🔬 At the moment I’m working on creating a lot of organic growing forms, so sorry if my feed turns into a blob overload. One of the best parts has been researching different mushrooms and sea creatures and trying to recreate how I imagine they’d grow. 🦑 This is the first time I’ve used reaction diffusion (had to try it after seeing @armitage.shanks ‘0’ for @36daysoftype.👌) and my first time using layered materials as well. Both techniques have been really surprising and interesting to work with. Any other c4d things I should try to get some weird growing shapes?
