The lobelia is a flower with a lot of meanings, some light some extreme. Spiritually it is known as a flower to represent creativity, joy and happiness. A positive flower that comes in a variety of colours. Blue in particular in flowers also represents intelligence and grace. In literature and art, often specifically poetry, lobelias evoke something soft and gentle. A graceful flower. Someone with gratitude. In dreams, they mean hope and transformation, some sort of change to the self. And most polarizing, the Victorian English meaning is malevolence and ill-will, a flower of betrayal. They are poisonous and giving on in a message bouquet means bad luck. And of course they are referenced by a certain school and club in Ouran too!
