He had a feeling that it was just one of the short-lived shocks she had been feeling the past few days, but nonetheless, they were still quite scary for him. Her pregnancy was obviously not a normal one, so he really had no idea what to expect, not that he had any idea before. “You talked to the nurses about that?” He questioned, unsure if she had. His hand rested against hers as she traced over his chest. “Not sure.”

Gabby offered a timid smile. “They like the names, at least I think so.” She was definitely in good spirits. Actually she felt better during these several weeks of pregnancy than she had felt in the past couple of years. Even though she was completely off her medications, her headaches were less-intense than usual, so completely do-able to not have to take heavy handfuls of painkillers which weren’t allowed to be taken in pregnancy.
“No, don’t worry it’s fine,” she breathed, as she slowed down on rubbing the circles on her belly. “I’ll worry if I have more than 4 of these in an hour, or if it feels like a waterfall is gushing out of me for no reason.” She lazily leaned against Brandon. “The nurses told me it’s totally normal, something like my body is getting ready for D-day, like practice runs.” She laughed lightly as she kissed him and teasingly tugged at the bottom of his lip. “I can think of a few things. Brandon paused once his family– well, the mere mention of them– was brought up. His lips twisted as he gazed downcast and began to speak. “Only if we do the same with the girl… but with your family,” he stated, his voice soft and easy as the words left his lips.

Inhaled sharply, and shot Brandon an apologetic look. She sometimes wasn’t so observant at what mentioning certain things could do to other people. “Sorry,” she whispered, not knowing that was still touchy. She, too fidgeted as she thought of a name for the daughter out of those. “Amelia Isabel,” she said softly, as she repeated the names. “Michael and Amelia, Mike and Mia.” She nodded slowly as a hint of a smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, and she cupped her hands on either side of her belly, as if she had asked the two babies for advice as well. “Think you can deal with that? Good, because that’s what it’s going to be. No complaints later.” She looked back at Brandon. “I think that’s covered then, right?”
She shifted slightly, though she cringed as that familiar random spasm spread along her belly, though it was short lived. She shifted her position so that she was laying on her side across Brandon’s lap as she took a few deep, calming breaths as she used one hand to rub calming circles along the swell that contained the two little ones. “The fake ones, they’re short-lived, but that happens like every couple of days now. I guess my body is trying to get ready for the long haul.” She shrugged and used her other hand to trace lightly along Brandon’s chest. “So, now that we picked names, what comes next?”

Brandon’s lips twisted from her words, but he didn’t really see why they couldn’t just follow what Gabby suggested. They would have years to follow the traditional Mother’s Day, but for now, why not just make it for the two of them?
He looked down at the offered cookie, leaning in and taking a bite, pulling back up as he chewed. With a lick of his lips, he hummed in approval and then swallowed down what was still in his mouth. As he did that, he watched as his girlfriend shrugged off the straps that supported the skimpy, little gown she had fashioned, barely revealing her breasts– which had swollen up since the pregnancy, not that Brandon was complaining. He ripped his gaze away from the other’s chest as he realized she was speaking again and quickly processed what had been said. “What do you mean?” He asked, brows knitted together in slight confusion.

‘We have time for that’ those words that Gabby had said echoed in her mind. It was weird, suddenly realizing that there was that chance that she had a lot more time left before things went to shit. It could be nice, living life without looking behind your shoulder, wondering when the illness would come back to finish the job once and for all. Actually, with how good she felt, she was actually looking forward towards her next doctor’s appointment which would tell her what the status of her illness was at this time.
Hell, pregnancy wasn’t so bad. Yeah, she was kind of nauseous for a while, but it wasn’t any different than how she felt with chemo in the past. Lately, she had been much better, and her tits and ass had rounded up pretty damn nicely. It was sweet that Gabby rather just make the day about the both of them, but he still felt that he needed to follow the more traditional sense of Mother’s Day and celebrate her. “You didn’t have to do all of this, again, I’m not complaining,” he continued with a chuckle, his eyes, again, racking down her form. He was happy that she put so much effort in putting everything together, even more so since she looked so amazing. “Hey, your tits and ass looked great before too, but yeah, the extra plumpage really did do some good… added to what you had,” he mused with another smirk on the corners of his lips.
Brandon was confused when Gabby questioned him on what he had on his mind. She held it towards him in offering. “It’s seriously good.” Even though she was generally one who embraced her good looks, Brandon always managed to make her blush in that ‘flattered, flirty schoolgirl kind of way.’ She hummed slowly and fingered the spaghetti strap of the sheer negligee that she wore, She let the strap slip along her shoulders before her fingers traced along her swollen breasts. “Well, you know, if this is something we want in the future, I’m not entirely opposed to work getting done. But let’s be sure we’ve had all the kids we need, before I start making the necessary repairs,” she teased with a wink.

He made it to the room, his brow quirked as he spotted his girlfriend waiting for him on the bed. He closed the door, figuring that the nurses wouldn’t appreciate if they left the door wide open and leaving that view of the two of them. Once he heard the click of the door, he stepped forward and leaned over to kiss Gabby’s lips softly before taking the glass from her hand and sitting next to her.
“I was waiting for you to wake up,” he answered, his eyes dragging over her made up form before gazing back at her face. “I mean, I thought you were sleeping, but I have a feeling that it really isn’t what was going on,” he added with a smirk of his own tugged at his lips. “Why did you do all of this anyway?” He then asked, lifting the edge of the glass against his lips. “Not that I’m complaining, because damn.. you look good,’ he admitted. Even though Gabby was very much pregnant, she looked amazing, radiant even. Hell, she even looked a lot healthier than when she was in the mansion.

Gabby loved surprises. She loved to receive them, but she loved giving them even more, more so if she even remotely cared about a person. Right now, Brandon was the most important person in her life, well he and the two unborn kids she carried. The idea that she had put this together without Brandon having the slightest clue really made her day. It was crazy, that soft loving side of her that Brandon had brought out. She didn’t like to show it all the time in front of the others, but when it was just them, it was a different story. She smiled softly, and she placed a hand on his cheek. “Mother’s Day being all about the mom, that’s boring. If it’s all about me, I like to celebrate what got me to that point. A damn good person to remind me that I’m still human, and not completely crazy.” She shrugged. “It takes two to tango, and you know, make a baby, or two.”
She took a sip from her sparkling cider, and ran the tip of her tongue along her lips before she smiled cutely at Brandon and leaned her head against him. “Glad I can still pull the hot girl look. I have to say, I love what all this does to my tits and ass.” In truth, other than feeling some aches and pains from places she didn’t know could get aches and pains, she felt a lot better, more vital, than she had in a really long time. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she wondered if she was actually physically better than she had been, or if she had just been telling her that. Mother’s day was not a holiday he enjoyed, all it did was remind him that he was stuck without a mother of his own. The only reason he didn’t spend the day our drinking or doing something else that was not ‘mother approved’ was to not give his grandmother a headache. He made sure to keep her happy that day and thank her for taking him and his sister in. He had to admit, he felt bad that he couldn’t spend mother’s day with her; he only hoped that his sister was able to fill in the shoes.
He needed to distract himself, even more so since he couldn’t contact his family in any way. He needed to focus on the mother-to-be, the mother of his future children. Sure she wasn’t a mother yet in the technical sense, but she was still one in his mind. He knew that women almost always feel and become a mother once they find out they’re pregnant, so it felt like the right thing to do to give her some sort of celebration. Usually he would go out and get a gift, but obviously he couldn’t do that since they were on some island. Instead, he stalked the library, fishing through the titles until he found at least one book on child care. It was stupid, but it was better than nothing, seeing how they both were pretty clueless on how to raise a child– at least he was. He even managed to riffle through his things before leaving the room and found something that Gabby might like– something he never thought he would give away.
He thought that his girlfriend was still asleep, seeing how she usually texted him once she woke up and he wasn’t in the room there with her. When he got the text from her, he didn’t expect it to be so forward, not that he was complaining. Just because she was pregnant didn’t mean they couldn’t still have some fun, right? He didn’t take his sweet time getting back to the room. He hurried up and rushed down to where their room was, opening the door to see his girlfriend waiting for him.
Gabby:
Gabby had enough time to reflect on life as of late. She missed her mom, she missed her abuela. Hell, she wished she was home right now. From the looks of the place, she wasn’t too far away. Maybe if she made a break for it - if she could get Brandon to make a break for it. Then again - there was another reason to follow the rules. Gabby bit her lip as she ran her hand along her stomach. There was something that she feared, but she definitely didn’t let people know about it. She had a feeling she knew exactly what they wanted, but she would not have it. As long as she could protect them, they would never get them. She had started to talk to Brandon about it several times, but stopped herself short, when she thought that Brandon might think her overly paranoid or just plain crazy.
But this was not the time to think of some crazy sick girl’s paranoia. Naturally, Gabby wasn’t known to be the most rational of people, even if she did act with the best intentions. She poured some champagne into a fluted glass for him, and some sparkling cider in a fluted glass for her, The second Brandon opened the door, Gabby was waiting for him, his glass held in her right hand, held towards him, and her glass in her left hand, pulled back, closer to her chest. “There’s my sweet man,” she purred before she leaned forward to press her lips against his own velvety-soft lips. “Where have you been? I missed you.” A flicker of a smile tugged at the corners of her mouth.
I guess you can say I like to dress up when I feel like it. But I’m a girl who values comfort. Nothing wrong with flipflops. The weather has been fantastic. Eww, that just sounds like total creeper status.
