BIOGRAPHY:

There’s nothing that Gabe’s parents wanted more than to have their own little Christmas baby. However, things didn’t go as planned and Gabriel Washington was born a day earlier than intended. However, that was the last time for a long time that Gabe didn’t do exactly what his parents wanted him to. For the next eighteen years of his life, Gabe attended every church service, said every prayer, played every instrument at the church, and he didn’t do anything that he was told to do, no matter what. They say that preacher’s kids are supposed to be the worst, but Gabe is an absolute angel for the most part. His older brother, however, was not. He dabbled in illegal drugs, gang activity, and ultimately armed robbery that landed him behind bars and tainted their family’s image. Gabe did everything in his power not to disappoint his parents like that.

However, the older Gabe got, the more he started to develop certain feelings that his parents and their church had convinced him were wrong. He tried to repress them for as long as possible, until a certain drummer at their church caught on, and Gabe fell in love for the first time.

Just like every other first in his life—his first steps, his first words, his first sermon—Gabe had sex for the first time in their church…more specifically in his father’s pastor’s study. After that, Gabe knew that he was different from everyone else, and he accepted his bisexuality despite the fact that everyone around him talked about how wrong it was. When Gabe sat down his parents to tell them, they took it better than he expected. He wasn’t banished, but there was a bunch of prayer and a bunch of bible reading that didn’t make any difference. Still to this day, his parents look at him differently, but they haven’t disowned him just yet.

Gabe found himself at Pinecrest University -- it’s always been his dream school, and it’s so far away from Mississippi that it seems like a completely different world -- a place where he can truly be himself and not worry about the watchful eyes of his oppressive parents or their minions. Gabe’s still a Christian, but he’s forming his own ideals about his religion as opposed to the ones that were forced on him. He’s the President of the photography club, and chances are that you can find him anywhere on campus with his camera taking pictures usually. 

WANTED CONNECTION:

Gabe’s ROOMMATES. Give him people he’s friends with, maybe not so close with, or maybe they don’t like each other at all. Anything can happen here honestly. 

FLINGS. Gabe enjoys sex just like any other guy, I do think he has connections with everyone he has sex with though because that’s just the type of guy that he is. Be it friendly or more romantic, Gabe is going to have pillow talk afterwards and ask your muse how their day was or what’s been up in their lives.

▻ Kwame had holed himself up for a twenty-four hour period to study for this incredibly large exam he’s pretty sure he’d just aced – but then again when does he do anything but ace exams? He walks with a little extra pep in his step as he crosses the Quad. It’s a Thursday, which means there’s bound to be a party later tonight, and the only thing Kwame can think about now that he’s made it through the exam is how drunk he’s ready to get with his friend and how he’s more than ready to take a girl back home with him tonight and fall deep into some pussy. There’s someone that catches his attention in the corner of his eye, and he turns just in time to be met with a camera lens from afar. He offers a wickedly charming grin, and licks his lips as he approaches the man behind the camera. “Aye, bruh, every time I see you, you got that camera pointed at somebody. What’s ya name?”  

gabe’s seen him before. gabe knows him. well...knows him is a bit of an overstatement. gabe knows of him. kwame ofosu. and okay so maybe gabe’s had a small crush on him ever since they had that one gen ed english class a few semesters ago, and of course the photographer is well aware that he’s straight. or at least he thinks he is -- he’s just learned to assume that guys like kwame are -- that they’re out of reach. gabe looks through his lens, snapping a few photos of him, his heart almost stopping when kwame’s eyes lock with his through the lens. he lowers his camera immediately as he’s approached. why is he so nervous right now? “oh, uh, yeah...i work for the yearbook, we always taking pictures -- you know, tryna get a wide-range of student activity.” gabe tells him. “i’m gabe, by the way.” he unsure if he should pretend like he doesn’t know kwame’s name or seem over enthusiastic and tell him he already knows it. he decides on a mix of the former and the latter. “you’re, uh, kwame, right?”

Emira wasn’t often a rude person, however the fact that someone had decided to sit down on the same bench as her and proceed to practically yell in their phone while she was trying to study was grinding just the right gears to embolden her. “Excuse me, could you possibly take that anywhere else?” Her tone left no mistake that she was clearly annoyed.

he lowers his camera, where he had been shooting some mundane activity on the quad, always looking for the new great photo for the yearbook when he hears an annoyed tone coming from the left of him. it was the girl he’d found attractive, one he’d just taken a couple of pictures of early. he chuckles as the person she was snapping at stands up to leave, and gabe makes his way over to her. “some people ain’t got no manners, am i right?” gabe says with a smile. “my name’s gabe. i took a few pictures of you earlier, i work for the yearbook. would it be okay if we used them in this year’s yearbook? would you mind giving me your name, major, classification, and phone number?” it’s corny, he knows, and he can’t help but smile at himself. hopefully she doesn’t find him annoying like she’d found the last guy. “then i’ll leave you to your studying.”

with  a  grin  she  takes  it  from  them.  admiring,  the  air  around  them  calming  and  stilling  if  only  for  a  few    moments.  “  it’s  beautiful,  ”  she  praises  with  kind  eyes  looking  back  to  them.  “  really  good  work  here.  perfect.  however,  ”  dimples  appearing  as  she  releases  a  exhale  leaning  into  them  slightly,  the  tall  woman  feeling  her  grin  melt  to  smug  smile.  shifting  her  weight  to  straighten  her  frame.  “  i  expected  nothing  less  from  you.  ”  

gabe had taken a picture of her, it had been a completely random photo, one at a faculty dinner that he went to photograph for the yearbook. of course, gabe has always been enamored by his professor’s beauty, ever since he’d first stepped foot into her classroom the first day of classes. and so, when she was framed perfectly in front of one of the large windows, he couldn’t help but snap a photo of her. it was one of those moments where everything worked out perfectly -- the lightning, the positioning, and of course the muse was the definition of beauty and grace. he’d printed it out for, even framed it, and he’s brought it to her during her office hours. he smiles, cheeks heating up as the taller woman leans into him. “i really didn’t do much...that picture was all you...you’re beautiful professor levy. i’m glad i could impress you.”
