he's so worried and unsettled throughout this arc – the idea of losing akane has the guy SWEATING in almost all his panels. nobody gets to him like her. it's so serious he got me pulling out the damn marker. i'm simultaneously unwell and having the time of my life

That's legit my favorite arc because it makes my heart flutter so much.

Btw, i have no idea about how the japanese original goes, but i would like to add that in the brazilian portuguese translation, Ranma says "if that's what you want, we can end our relationship/engagement, but first tell me why" AND I DIE FOR IT. Because more than once in this arc it's implied that Ranma considers that they HAVE a relationship already. Also, i hate viz's translation, so in my heart that's the correct one and no one will ever convince me otherwise.
