Fanfiction time!

I wrote a new fanfiction in AO3 after ages of writing block, so I figured I’d post it here too and see what happens. Grammar is my arch nemesis, please ignore the mistakes, it’s late and English isn’t my first language 😭

Since it’s apparently too long for tumblr… I’m just gonna add a link to AO3 (right when I was excited about posting on tumblr for once) 😅

“Then the dragons started roaring, and screeching… and- and like- like it was fighting itself. Shaking and crawling over the ground. They fell over, thrashing around. Until she raised her hands again… and it suddenly stopped.”

Viggo narrows his eyes skeptically. That’s not normal behaviour. A pain response, perhaps. It could be poison, maybe something like dragon root… no, people would be able to see that. Something the dragons could smell then?

Lars finally looks up at Viggo again.

“It must’ve been some kind of ritual. She broke through to the dragons!”

No. That’s not it.

Dragons trained- as shown by Hiccup- are calmer. Lowering their head, not falling to the ground. Lying down, not roaring or thrashing.

It’s not calming down. It’s a reaction.

But to what…?
