ASSESSMENT TWO FINAL PIECE + 10 DOCUMENTATION

The first lot of photos are showing what the GIFs are made of.

In my final piece, I used Alien methods, using a GIF, and uncreativity, using a plain white mask to hide the women's features. The first three GIFs are of women hiding behind a mask to cover, what they think are their imperfections. The last GIF is of a woman being truly happy with her image.

ALEIN METHOD... practising making a GIF. My photo is taken in public because thats where women feel most insecure.

I used key words from the advertising slogans and recontextualised their meaning to come up with a new slogan

a mask with brands and logos from advertising campaigns

I took the eyes out of these images to give them a different meaning and so the viewer would see them differently.

I collected these statements from customers at my work (Myer) when i asked the question "WHY DO YOU WEAR MAKEUP?"
