millie-hastings:
“Maybe not,” she smiled softly, taking a moment to take him in. She had forgotten how different Gabe had looked at the reunion from their time in school. They’d all but locked him away, forcing him to forget all of them. In a way, it was a relief that he had memories of them this time. “I just wish I knew what those bigger things were,” Millie sighed, running her hand through her dark brown curls. “I can’t even decide if us knowing the future is enough to change it. What if things turn out the same way they did last time?”
Thinking for a moment, he looked over Millie with a small frown. “Saving people. I know that sounds dumb but.... there is a reason we were brought back at this point and not before and i have to assume some of it has to do with us needing to save people.” He couldnt be sure. No one could really be sure of anything at Whittemore. Still, Gabe had to be hopeful that something would work out better for all of them this time around. “Even if we just manage to change one thing, nothing will be exactly the same, Millie.”
