Even though Lattie looks 20, she has been a vampire for 40 years. In her human life, Lattie Ditzler was studying anthropology at The Ohio State University. This love of exploring human nature transferred to her unlife—as seen by her studying humans to be more human-like. To earn money, Lattie uses these skills to work as a sort of private investigator with her squirrel ghoul, Viscount.
Even though Lattie has been around Columbus for a while, she doesn't remember her embrace as a Nosferatu. She was taken one night in the '80s while going out drinking. The next time she was fully conscious, the year was 2011. During that 25-year memory gap, all Lattie remembers is pain and the name "Professor." This time gap led to her gaining some unnatural abilities—unnatural for even a vampire.
