This blog is dedicated to an upcoming two player tabletop strategy game named Warherd, which is set during the second Great War between the Novingard Alliance and the Hethrell Confederacy.

Hello everyone, for the last six years I have been developing a tabletop miniatures game inspired by the likes of Warhammer 40k and Warmachine set in a steampunk fantasy world populated by talking animals. The game and its lore have been tuned over the last few years with thousands of hours of playtesting and has been refined into what I feel is a deep strategy game that features the best aspects of the wargaming genre but none of its usually inaccessible complexities. There is one caveat, however. I am looking for an artist to work with and to commission regularly for sketches of the various characters and units found in the game (I have an artist to ink and another artist to color the artwork). I did have a sketch artist working with me on the project, whom I had known for over a year, but he was unable to make the commitment and decided to quit the project. Thus, I am looking for a new artist to work with.

I also have a rulebook and lore document that I can also share.

[This is an illustration for an upcoming board game] The most skilled fighters in a Capran Conscript herd are entrusted with wielding one of many powerful weapons that allow their unit to defend themselves against threats that require more than a Hoofgun to take down. The Rocket Saddle in particular is a Saddle-Mounted top-loading, ragnicite gas powered rocket launcher strapped over the user’s flanks. The launcher is on one side of the saddle while spare rockets are on the other. The operator can move the weapon up and down to adjust its trajectory and can fire it by flipping a switch with his or her telekinesis. Its Frak shell is a shaped charge that can punch through power and tank armor with ease. To ensure her people could protect themselves, she enacted the Citizen Soldier program. For one month each year all Caprans from the age of 8 years old working in non-vital industries are required to undergo military training under a Highbreed’s guidance. Conscripts usually operate in large herds that are condensed into smaller eight-Capran units. Their weapon of choice is the Hoofgun, a steam-powered wrist-mounted firearm that can be fired using their innate telekinesis.
