you say i can ask for anything i ever want, and you’d find a way to give it to me. but i could never ask you anything no matter how hard i want it.

i can’t ask you for love letters, or flowers, or small walks, or texts when i’m asleep. i can’t ask you to do what i read about in romance books, or see in romance movies. i appreciate everything you do, and i’ll always say it’s enough. and it really is, enough. but the romantic in me wants more. more that i will never ask you.

what if you find me annoying ? or that it’s too much ? what if you think that i’m too binding ? what if you feel stuck with me ?

and then you won’t feel as happy with me as you are now. you will think it’s too much work to be with me, to ease my fears and calm my overthinking, to reassure me all the time.

this is why i never ask for anything. and the worst thing is that if you’d do all that, from your heart, without me asking, i’d feel bad.

i love my male friends so much ( platonically please don’t be like my bestie who ships me with one of them ) they’re all so soft and pure and they have feelings and they get happy, hurt, excited, mad. they offer to fight with guys who bother me, they send me pictures of the moon saying «  i thought of you », we talk about books, we laugh, we gossip about celebrities. i love them so much they give me hope. one day i want a man like them. and they deserve to find a woman who’ll love every single part of them.
