Lab Partners

It didn’t take long for Kizaito to decide that he liked this girl quite a bit. She had obvious confidence, which to him, was a big turn on. Not only that, but she wasn’t at all weirded out by someone she had never met requesting to be her lab partner. She probably wasn’t that surprised, to be honest.

He had to think for a moment. Why did he choose her? Why did he choose anyone? To put it simply, the more people he hit on, the better chance he had of getting laid. However, he couldn’t just come out and say that to her. She would likely smack him.

“Truthfully?” No. He wouldn’t be answering truthfully. “I was absolutely fascinated by your hair. Not only that, but I hear you’re a good student. I, on the other hand, am not. I could use a little help.” He said, eyes never leaving her face. Which was incredibly difficult, because he really wanted to get a good look at her body. He didn’t want to be rude, though. 

Being a guy is incredibly difficult.

Well, well, well. Someone was good. He'd been studying, or else he'd had plenty of practice himself. Galaco was inclined to believe the latter. Most boys treated subtlety like some kind of foreign object they weren't allowed to touch. Kizaito, it seemed, was different.

"Well thanks, sweetheart. My hair gets a lot of attention, I've noticed." As though it was unintentional. "And, well- I can't make any promises, but I try my best in science. I think we'll do marvelously." One of those was a lie.

That left her to repay a compliment, didn't it? "That's a nice scarf, by the way. Awfully cute. And terribly hard to find boys who know how to accessorize." She chuckled. Yes, Sunglasses Boy was not much like the rest of his family, except perhaps the red-haired one. What a shame she'd never gotten a chance to meet him.

At the front of the room, the teacher seemed to be trying to get the students' attention, so she turned her eyes toward him. Conversation could wait until they started to work, but so far Galaco was pleased with the boy's capricious decision.

“I am just observing your very unique hair.” Lies, very pitiful lies. Never did she even liked how her hair looks. But who was she to talk when her hair also had rainbow streaks? Whatever the point is, let’s go back to it.

While her other hand lifted the plush, the other held her very own home-made lunchbox. To put it simply, It was for Gumo, but it seems it won’t happen today as she saw him eating with his so-called friends. For today, She’ll let them be. —It was for Gumo’s happiness after all.

“Would you like me to sit beside you? Or would you want me to walk away?” She asked without hesitating, still putting that humble facade of hers.

The girl's sweet smile relaxed Galaco slightly, erasing her earlier, almost eerie demeanor.

"Why thank you," she replied, lips curving upwards slightly. "I'd imagine you'd like it." She'd rarely found that the phrase "flattery gets you nowhere" held any bearing in real life, and was willing to accept a compliment in any form. Wasn't imitation the sincerest form of flattery? The girl might be a copycat, but she would be let off this time.

Still, she was a stranger, and just an underclassman. Not someone Galaco would let hang around. "You can run along," she said in dulcet tones, "Unless there happens to be anything else you need." Leaning back in her seat, she waved a hand to dismiss her.

Flat voice that was sent from a lowlife was used to catch her attention. Wasn’t it lunchtime? Now that someone called unto her, then the only best she could do so was to either ignore and walk off — or interact back with no such interest. Choosing the first option would be no good, it would clearly show how pretentious she could be. But what’s with that kind of thought? Mayu had always pretended to be a mortal without impurities.

Okay. Mayu stood there for more than a second. Bright hues focused on this certain student that called her.                                            Why thank you for a flattering compliment, but that wouldn’t mean anything when it doesn’t come from Gumo’s lips!

Galaco's lip curled as she watched the younger girl. What was the holdup? She tapped a painted fingernail impatiently on the table as she waited for her to make up her mind whether she was about to acknowledge her or not. She took the moment to get a better look at the girl in the black dress. What kind of highschooler carries around a stuffed rabbit?

Quickly growing uncomfortable under the golden eyes' scrutiny, Galaco glared back. "What's that look for?" she challenged. Was she going to say anything?

With scrambling fingers, Haku had been digging for her flask, hidden among the other objects scattered about her purse.She couldn’t remember where she’d placed it, and that information had hit her abruptly suddenly, causing her to pause where she stood and root through her bag. 

Hearing the voice, Haku glanced up, just as her fingers brushed the metal in her purse. Flushing and realizing she’d been in the way, she scrambled back. 

“S-Sorry…” She bowed her head.

Galaco sighed heavily, surveying the girl. She was related to that hacker kid, wasn't she? Not sister, but maybe a cousin? Whatever. The silver-haired girl wasn't anyone she'd spoken with, and it was obvious why. Nervous types bored the wits out of her, unless they had the graciousness to be nervous in a cute way. And this one kind of was, but she was also blocking her locker.

"Oh, don't worry," the girl said, absent of any reassurance. Hitching up her bag so it sat more comfortably on her shoulder, she stepped forward to open her locker. Taking a final glance over at her, she noticed the younger girl's confused expression and what she'd been doing earlier. "Looking for something?"

Never the most patient of people, Galaco's tolerance always wore down by the end of the day, mid-week. Though her splendid smile was every-present, her terms of affection and sweet replies became more and more strained, and her watchful eyes a bit more critical. Sweeping down the hallway, she was not pleased to see an underclassman lingering in front of her locker, apparently doing nothing.

"Would you be a dear and kindly move?" she requested, letting her tense tone say what her words did not. "We don't have all day."

Lab Partners

Never had Kizaito seen such an interesting flower. What could he even call her? Perhaps she would be one named after personality, not looks. Which meant he would have to get to know her. With his charm, it really shouldn’t be too difficult.

He figured the best way to get close to this girl, was to sign them up as lab partners. And so he did. The next day at school, he took his seat and waited for Galaco to enter, and take her seat next to him. He didn’t have to wait very long, thankfully.

“Hello, miss. I hope you don’t mind, but I signed us up as lab partners. I thought we could both benefit from the experience.” He said, a light smirk finding it’s way onto his face. He had to be subtle. He didn’t want to make her uncomfortable by immediately suggesting they jump into bed together. Though that really didn’t sound like a bad idea to him.

When Galaco checked the class roster, she was much surprised to find an unfamiliar name beside her own. Kizatio Shion... That wasn't Kaito, and it wasn't the red-haired one, since she knew he'd graduated already. It wasn't Bandage Face either, though he at least would make an interesting partner. That left Sunglasses Boy. Sure enough, when she crossed the room to join him, he had a greeting and an explanation.

Well, it certainly could be worse. He was just as fine a specimen as the rest of his clan, and his smirk read as a bit of cockiness. Not a dishrag like Kaito, then. 

"No worries, love," she said easily, sliding into the seat beside him. "I adore the chance to meet new people. Out of curiosity, though, why me?" As she slid out her binder and flipped open to the right page, she did her best to scope out the pink-haired boy out of the corner of her eyes. Her first impression of someone at ease with himself and the world wasn't contradicted by further study. This was going to be interesting.

Lunchtime. Or rather, people-watching time, since Galaco had woken up too late to make herself anything, and the school lunches looked to disgusting to risk. As she scoped the tables in search of someone who looked gullible enough to be emancipated from their lunch, a flash of rainbow passed her by. The girl narrowed her eyes sharply and called out to the younger.

"Hey, sweetheart," she called in a distinctly unfriendly tone. "Nice hair you've got, hm?" She couldn't possibly miss her implications.
