It had been a long day, the group of mercenaries travelling to Whitestone, all heading to bed almost as soon as they set foot into the town.
y/n had been asleep, somewhat peacefully, until around midnight, when their unconscious mind was filled with bad dreams.
the small boy startled awake, trying to keep his cries down to not wake anyone.
not only had he woken from a particularly bad nightmare, the boy had an accident, now sitting in his wet trousers, trying to figure out what to do.
almost as if subconsciously, y/n moved to percys room, taking his blankie and stuffie with him, quietly knocking on the door.
"Papa..." the small boys voice travelled through the thick wood, alerting oercy to his presence.
the door was soon pulled open, percy standing there, clearly dishevelled. "darling? what's wrong?" he said, carefully guiding the small boy inside.
y/n let out a slight whine, shifting uncomfortably as he walked inside with his papa. "accident..." he mumbles, sniffling as unshed tears slip past his waterline.
"Oh, my darling boy, let's get you cleaned up." percy murmurs before swiftly helping change his little boy.
once he was cleaned up and changed, percy helped the small boy into the bed, holding him close and muttering quiet words of comfort, helping y/n fall back to sleep.
"It's alright love, papas right here, get some rest." he practically whispered.
"love you papa..." the boy mumbled, soon falling asleep, curled up against percy, his small stuffed rabbit I'm his arms.
