Vanzini: It became popular after he won in Monza, but I had used that nickname for his first win in Spa as well and I actually used to call him that even earlier, when he was in Alfa Romeo. It all goes back to an early encounter. He was about 15 and they had brought him to Sky for some media training. We had this meeting and then had a press conference simulation where I asked him something like: "You're starting on pole today but your teammate is racing for the title – what are you going to do?" to which he answered "I race to win." So we sat there and came up with a more diplomatic answer, something along the lines of "I'll focus on my race, but I will help the team whenever necessary." But then this boy came up to me later and told me the question I had asked was fundamentally wrong because "there is no way my teammate will be the one fighting for the championship and not me."

Headcanon: Edmund hated saying the words “good-bye.” He felt they were too final, and shouldn’t be used unless the departing was final. In the Last Battle, when they saw the train coming around the bend, Edmund turned to Peter, smiled, and whispered “Goodbye, Pete.” In that split moment before the train hit, Peter knew the coming end.

The way I see it, Edmund literally learned how to do the very thing that almost destroyed him. In Prince Caspian, when Edmund duels Trumpkin, the trick he uses to disarm Trumpkin is the exact same trick the Witch used in the first film to get Edmund’s sword and shield out of his hand before she stabbed him. So he learned that trick to he’d never be caught off-guard by it again. Also, The White Witch stole her fighting style from the Centaurs. The Centaurs fight with two swords, one in each hand. Edmund was trained to fight by Oreius and was given his sword by him as well. The White Witch doesn’t fight with two swords UNTIL after she’s stabbed Edmund and is fighting Peter. She already disrespected Aslan by wearing His mane into battle. Then, she stabs Edmund, takes HIS SWORD and fights Peter with it using the technique that the Centaurs use with double swords.
