I feel like Braxton has too much trauma regarding sex to have fun with it. And he went through too much with Tim for them to have that kind of comfort even without simplex and Braxton being Braxton. It kinda looks like instead of going to a therapy session he just goes to fuck Tim lol

I think Kon is half jokingly into really stupid role play stuff, like Kon will come up to Tim and be like oh no! It seems I can’t pay my rent this month, whatever will I do! Whilst fighting off giggles. He pretends to get stuck in the washing machine like twice a week, just stupid stuff but if Tim ever plays into it he gets so flustered Instantly

Idk excited for TimKon smooching times bc I feel like Kon is very inclined towards getting a little silly with it and I think that could go a long way towards helping Tim to recontextualize things, they’re so cute to me

Just on a side thought could the fungus be used as like a legitimate helpful tool? Like I’m always curious about the extent of this but, say, someone was really struggling with depression that was resistant to medication and other treatment, could the fungi be used to like help with that? If you tell someone like, oh your brain produces the happy chemicals normally, would it? Considering how powerful the mind can be, if someone was given the fungus and then told like, you have feeling in this hand again, these muscles will regrow, and then the brain does it? I guess there’s a thin line between like, stuff the body isn’t capable of no matter what but I’m specifically thinking about that like sector of injuries that CAN be healed via like placebo brain work…

It could totally be used as an anti depressant and so on. It can also control broken nerves and regrow them. Kind of? I mean, we're going to get into that more later after things happen, but it's not pretty and it's definitely painful

I just remembered that at the end of the Benefactor Braxton dosed Kon, and so is Kon's host like he is Duke's. Or is it different with Kryptonians?

In the first chapter of the Performer, Kon gets really sick and almost dies, this is why ^ his body rejected the drug and lex had to re-configure it against a kryptonian because their bodies try to burn it out of them.

I keep thinking abt the conversation Tim and kon have where Tim is like listing all the things he wants so badly to do but can’t/doesn’t think he’ll get the chance to (Paris) and although it’s like, about him forgetting kon and being trapped here but to me it also really reads the way conversations sound when either you or your loved one is dying. Like that’s the kind of conversation you have with a loved one when you realize the time you should have had with them is stolen. I think Tim thinks he’s going to die here…I think he’d consider living with no memory of kon worse than dying but the way he talks really does sound like he thinks he’s gonna die :(

I think so too. I don't think he's entirely conscious of the fact he's thinking that, but I definitely think he doesn't see himself living that much longer. Or even if he does he's going to have been rewritten by Braxton so much he's not the same person anymore so it doesn't matter. Tim is 100% expecting to lose Kon though :(

Me and my partner have anniversary food and its something we usually only eat on special occasions and anniversary. It stuff like something we ate on our first date, or the first thing we ever made for each other.

Curious how out of it for this whole interaction Tim is? Like when he is saying he’s okay or he’s just dizzy and they’re all mostly ignoring him is it because he’s slurring/not making much sense, isn’t actually saying what he thinks he’s saying, or just zoning out and missing chunks of the conversation? Like if we were in this scene from someone else’s pov what does Tim look like here?

Oh they're definitely ignoring him and think he's full of shit. He's also not answering in a way that makes sense, insisting he's okay despite the fact hes not and they need to do their own assessment, the way he's talking and behaving, at least from how I wrote it from Kons pov, seems very trained into him instead of an honest answer.
