“Oh, ok.” She hesitated, awkwardly wondering what else there could be to talk about. “Well, I’ll be seeing you, then. Or maybe not, since you’re travelling. If you need a place to stay though, I could probably help you out.” She shut her mouth and blushed, realising that she was babbling.

“…” Vincent listened to her babbling, loosing interest in it quite easily. He tuned back in to the last part. “Your name?”

“Oh!” She’d forgotten to introduce herself. “I’m Shiki Misaki.” She extended her hand to him, trying to be polite.

He starred at the hand, but then shook his head at it. "Vincent, Vincent Valentine." He introduced.

“Did you need supplies or something? I can point you to the department store.” She pressed him for an audible answer, trying to hold a conversation with him whether he wanted to or not.

“No… I should be fine.” Vincent answered. It seemed like she was pushing him to say something. What ever made her happy he guessed.

Vincent narrowed his eyes slightly, but then just shook his head.

She frowned, unsure of what to say next and not wanting to get on his bad side. “So…just passing through? You’re travelling pretty light.”

Vincent nodded to the woman. Not talking was a specialty of his. Only doing it only when necessary.

Vincent shot a glance at the woman, looking her over once, and then nodding to her.

She thought back, trying to recall when it all started. “I think…sometime last night. It’s been almost a whole day since it happened…”

Vincent blinked again. “Has my gun come to good use?” Vincent asked Neku, completely changing the subject.

‘Hm?” She looked up at him quizzically due to the change of subject, but welcomed it if it meant getting her mind off the current situation. “Actually, it has.” She smiled. “Thanks again, by the way.”

He nodded. “Good.” He merely said. “You are welcome.” Vincent leaned against a near by tree, looking at the horizon.

She nodded, still smiling softly at the tall man. “So how have you been?”

Vincent flashed a glance at the female version of Neku. “I have been fine… and you?”

Her smile disappeared momentarily as she sighed. “Current situation being ignored…Yeah, I’ve been pretty good myself.”

Vincent looked back over to the sunset. "Just be careful. Their might be people who will take advantage of you while you are like that."

She thought back, trying to recall when it all started. “I think…sometime last night. It’s been almost a whole day since it happened…”

Vincent blinked again. “Has my gun come to good use?” Vincent asked Neku, completely changing the subject.

The air was drenched in evil, dark magic now. And it seemed like she was still building up energy. Vincent wasn’t afraid though. Many, many times he had stared death in the face and made it through. Vincent jumped far back a couple of spaces, watching the blood pour from this woman. He then held out is good hand, and a small ball of light built in it. Every second it rose even bigger. He was going to try to match up with Lulu.

She saw that he was going to try and attack her once again, but with magic this time. Her expression didn’t waver and neither did her position. The magic that was building up around her, continued to reach it’s crescendo, the air becoming heavier with each breath, causing the ground beneath her to crack and tremble. She had no intention of letting the man escape.

The Materia over flowed his hand, and it was still getting bigger. He was using all of his energy into this one attack. It got to the point where his golden claw had to hold the arm with the materia, just because of it's power. Knowing how big it was, it might still not be enough to kill Lulu. Perhaps he should transform? No. Only for the last resort.

Blood poured from the bullet holes that riddled her body, yet she did not waver. The growing mass of magic made the air around them heavy, almost thick and touchable. Her soulless eyes were trained on her target. Spreading her arms out to her sides, she made the expanse of magic even wider, she intended to destroy everything in the area, with her at it’s epicentre.

Vincent felt the air become thicker, much thicker, it became thicker with dark, dark magic. It was a feeling that made you shudder. Vincent narrowed his eyes at her, watching the blood pour from her, thinking that she should lose consciousness soon of blood loss, he just had to by time. Vincent darted after her, and began slashing his golden arm over and over again at her.

She remained motionless as his attacks became more desperate, but still she showed no sign of relenting. The magic had reached a crescendo, arms spread apart, she let her head fall back as the space around her became a void. The earth cracked and shook beneath her as a dome of light and magic formed. Her clothes began to smoulder and her breathing became constricted, she knew that Vincent was suffering far more than she was, her own magic wouldn’t kill her.
