Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia (2026) Ep. 3
The fact buddy invaded the city and completely destroyed so many innocent lives for a book he can’t even read nor knows the contents of... Fatima died so this POS could get his wife a gift.. this is what happens when you dehumanize people, it’s easy to kill them over dumb things if you don’t view them as equals. So gross seeing him heehaw with his friends while Sitara is completely broken as a result of his actions.
I simply can’t imagine how difficult it must’ve been for Sitara to make the decision to fight back against the Mongols in her own way given everyone she’s ever known, loved and looked to for advice is dead. All she could do is hope she’s made the right choice and I believe she has, I also love that she took on Fatima’s name so that her de facto mother will never die, but live on through her. I’m sure there’s nothing that would make her happier. She and the Mongol scout boy are definitely going to develop a genuine friendship aren’t they??
Alright so having absolutely no idea how the manga goes, I’m going to assume that Sitara will develop a genuine bond and fondness for the princess and the princess will learn about her origins and how the book was acquired and eventually free her.
Kinda feels like they’re setting up a Thorfinn/Asekladd situation where we’ll come to realize the princess hasn’t had it so easy either and they’re both just victims of circumstances beyond their control, especially as women in this era.
I really can’t praise this show’s commitment to historical and linguistic accuracy enough, just found out they cast actual Mongolian sumo wrestlers to do the Mongolian dialogue in here.
I thought they were going to switch back to Japanese long term after the episode opened with the Mongols speaking that, but nope, they’re committed to it, especially when it’s time to emphasize the cultural divide between the Persian locals and their invaders. This shit makes the linguistics/history degree in me so excited lol.

Everyone here is my enemy. I'll fight to the bitter end, as alone as I may be.
Tenmaku no Jaadugar Episode 03 - Sitara
I am a child from Gaza. I am writing to you from amidst the rubble and destruction, where my family and I live in a ruined tent that offers no protection from the winter cold or the summer heat.
I suffer from anemia and constant hunger, and my frail body can barely support me. Every day is a struggle for survival, and the sound of shelling never ceases to terrify us. I don't know how we survive each time. We desperately need your support. Your presence can save our lives and give us hope for a better future.
Please please don't hesitate to lend a helping hand. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in our lives.
