I was only checking that I still had the email for this account
and this is what greets me
rping dan is basically just
Scourge leaned on her staff. “Speak up a bit! And it’s not even Halloween yet, genius!” She snorted. “Not like I’d be giving away any precious sweets to little brats…”
oh, charming. [’brat’... i be several centuries elder to thou, miss.] the skeleton mumbled, hands finding their indignant way to his hips as he glared the other down. granted, the strange felid still made him nervous, but anyone with this kind of attitude was not worth his fear. [and ‘allows eve has nowt to do with my appearance. i’m dead, if thou has failed to notice.]
Based on what the knight had told him, Proto immediately started to think of a possible solution they can use to get through the zombie crowd with speed and efficiency without having to waste their strength. The feline doesn’t have anything on him that he could use to quickly create a fire, otherwise he would have made some torches to burn some of the flesh-eating undead to a crisp. But that might not be enough to stop them.
He eventually came up with something upon spotting a nearby tree, and jumped up with the intention of cutting one of the branches down. Unlike Daniel’s sword, which was obviously made by a contemporary blacksmith, the cat’s own sword sliced cleanly through it thanks to the futuristic technology used to strengthen the blade. As soon as the branch fell down, Proto sheathed his weapon before moving over to pick it up and carries it on his shoulder.
“Give me a hand with this.” he called to his companion. It was still fairly heavy, even though he got enhanced strength on his side.
Dan jumped with a start, not really expecting the strange sorcerer feline to require his help. [er, aye...] he nodded, quickly making his way past the hoard of undead and avoiding eye contact - not that the chaps were awfully proficient at such a thing. bouncing the branch up onto his shoulder, one shaky hand still clutching his sword, the knight showed a surprising amount of strength for someone whose muscles had long since decomposed. [where to?] he asked, innocently and likely blissfully unaware of what Proto was planning to do with the hunk of wood. [...thou has a plan, yes? i’m not taking ano’er shot in the dark with all this ‘ey-Dan-let’s-lob-ourselves-out-a-cannon’ nonsense.]
heads-will-rxll
[is thou not scared?] ...because Dan was sure scared of ‘thou’.
“Come on zombies, I can do this all day!” Proto taunted proudly on top of his lungs. Needless to say, he is having quite a blast cutting down the horde of undead one by one. They were clearly no match for a single humanoid feline augmented with the state-of-the-arts cybernetics in spite of their sheer numbers. But still, it’s much more preferable to get out of this situation as opposed to fighting the herd for the rest of the day.
“Hey Dan!” The calico called out, before pausing briefly to casually punches away a zombie that was gnawing on his right forearm. “You have any idea we can get through them?”
[chaps are all over us like a cheap tunic.] the knight muffled with great distaste to his tone, though he could appreciate that they were hacking and slashing their way rather swiftly through the hoarde. suddenly the loss of undead all-in-this-together camaraderie didn’t feel like so much of a loss. cybernetics may be scary, but hot dang did they clear out a crowd. [i’ve nev’r really tried dashing past so many, lad. persistent buggers; not awfully fond of fire, if that’s any help.]
Canny Tim seems like the kind of person who would punch the shit out of you while whistling a jaunty tune when he finally snaps.
As he looked away from the trembling skeleton to the horde of zombies shambling toward them, Proto knew it wouldn’t work trying to forcefully pull Dan away from the gate and run, since he’s grasping tightly onto the iron bars and quaking in his boots out of fear. With a sigh, he decided he might as well as take up the liberty of defending the two of them from the undead menace.
“Alright. Stay close to me, I’m going to get us out of this.” Proto stated, before he began to tap away at some light blue holographic symbols in the air. To Dan, however, it seemed like the feline was tapping away at nothing. It all changed when a scabbard, strapped to the left side of the cat’s hiking backpack, became visible to the naked eyes along with some kind of sickle-like weapon that was stuck in a loop. A sword was then ejected from the scabbard, which Proto flashily jumps and grab before going on a rampage against the zombies.
Daniel had managed to hold back the urge to yell about witchcraft over what he’d seen, his mind fast grounded as he realized that he, too, had a weapon on him. moreso, on the floor. prying his own bony fingers off of the bars, the cowardly knight appeared to calm down - sauntering over to his dropped sword and lifting it off the ground with shaky flourish. overcoming his cowardice was something the knight often had to do; given his adventuring history. yes, he was still scared - but he was always up for proving his courage. [ alright! let’s stab some ugly buggers! ] that being said, Dan was definitely still going to take the offered back seat to Proto. slicing at zombies may have been practically a hobby at that point, but the feline was... much braver than he.
The graveyard was much spookier than he thought, but the feline isn’t scared enough to wet himself or jumps onto Dan and cling to him like a frightened kitten, at least not just yet. He immediately covered his ears when his undead companion grabbed the gate and began pushing it. The loud creaking noises weren’t quite comfortable for someone with a heightened sense of hearing such as him.
When the gate unexpectedly slammed itself shut after they’ve passed through it, Proto cried out in surprise and moved a few feet away from it, his tail instinctively stood up on its end and laid flattened against his back.
“..Let’s just move on before something else happen, don’t you agree?”
pausing his struggle to wrench the gate back open, Daniel looked back towards his feline companion and gave him a nervous smile. [oh, i’d much prefer to just stay put... away from-- away from those chaps.] his eye twitched, staring at the now walking dead pointedly in place of actually releasing his tight grip on the bars to point. he’d even dropped his sword in the urgent rush for the gate, and to one of higher-than-moronic intellect, that was probably considered the last thing somebody should let go of in this situation. knees knocking, eye bulging --- the skeleton was acting as if he’d never seen the undead before! ( though nobody could blame him if he refrained from looking in mirrors. )
I finally bought a certain spectacular game today…
He best not have mumbled what I just think he mumbled. Smarmy git. Firstly, dead men ‘tell no tales’ (and don’t own bugger all. They’re dead.). Second, even if Dan did own the plot it would have nowt to do with the gravestones, one of which the serpent was still coiled by.
“Memory fails me, just a second.” He mutters, seemingly ignoring the insistent pointing at that… Godawful excuse for signage, stretching over the headstone to have a gander at the name engraved on it. Took a moment, what with having to read it upside-down. “-Merediths’, apparently. That asides, I don’t really stand on anything right now. Go jump in a lake, Daniel.”
[thou’re a right cheeky git, thou knows.] the skeleton frowned, [s’not as if the lass can get up.] throwing his arms in the air, Dan had had just about enough of this old codger for one day. turning on heel, the knight began to make his mildly uncoordinated way back towards his crypt. maybe if Al was in there he could send the wee bugger to tick Jack off until he left. [hack off back to thy little lawn, Jack.]
