WG001: THE TV CLIFFHANGER
Don’t you just hate it when a television show ends on a cliffhanger? Such a freakin’ pain in the arse. Especially when the mindless executives don’t bother renewing the contract – yes, I am looking at you firefly – or better yet when they delay renewal for “financial reasons”. Such bullshit, in my opinion.
So, what I was doing on the weekend before the world exited stage right? Binging a freakin’ television show! Was getting to the good part as well. Can’t remember what the good part was but can you really blame me? The world was freakin’ ending.
Okay, if you haven’t got the memo by now this is a quick transmission break. An intermission if you like it. Or you are thinking realistically or on topic, a side reel or a puff piece. The morale of the story is that I am not really going to give you an update or continue where we left off.
Why? Because I am an asshole. Also, I ended on a cliffhanger. So, I kind of want to drive the suspense home or whatever other drivel aka excuse I was thinking about when I decided to write this piece.
Instead of giving you an update, this time around I am going to answer a quick memo that came across my desk. For the sake of the writer and my inevitable sanity (I swear it’ll rock up and be here to stay one of these days), I won’t hang the first responder out to dry.
Okay, yeah. The other world is kind of screwed at the moment. Yes, WG000 was vaguely realistic and reflective. Wish I could apologise or give a good excuse BUT I can’t.
Besides, this is about this reality.
Not yours.
Capisce?
