Sir… I’ve known Bryce and Powell for a very long time, long before either of us even came into this school. So, when I say that Powell has a boyfriend, I can say it with full confidence. As for pulling Bryce in, the point is that I wouldn’t even have to. When it comes to Powell, Bryce is protective and possessive to the point of excess, and he already does not get along with Denver. So he’s not going to like this, that I can assure you.
And you're moving from the first point: the point that you tried to make is that you fight your own battles, when it's very clear - by your own words - that you don't. That you would let someone else step in. I don't care what Bryce does and doesn't like. I don't care what you like. I don't care what Denver likes. If you want to be the macho preening roosters, find a different school. I'm not going to let shit like this continue, not when it's affecting everyone else at the school. So all of you need to grow up.

Oh… well, if you must know… I wasn’t talking about me doing anything. Powell has a boyfriend, sir. And while their relationship is going through a rough patch right now, it will pass, and when it does, he’s not going to be particularly happy about the things Denver said to his boyfriend. Moreover, his temper is far more likely to flare up than mine is.
You have a good night, too, sir.
Powell had a boyfriend, if what's been going on is any indication, and regardless, Powell's ex-boyfriend is still one of your friends, so you weren't doing anything but pulling in one of your friends and promising that they would fight for you if things escalated, so that's not you fighting your own battles. Just as a further clarification.

See you tomorrow then.
You'll be seeing Virgil after school. Have fun.

Maybe you’re right but he has no problems threatening me, the jerk. Oh great, there are a lot of you to get to know. A whole lot of you, ergh, this’ll be a long while before I am off the hook. Does this mean I can’t see Julian either?
What a torturous punishment.
I'm talking to him about that. I'm not letting anyone get away with threatening anyone else. Not at this school. Not in this day and age. Yes. There is a lot of us. Remember that next time you run your mouth. It means you can't see anyone outside of your classes. I don't care who they are or what they are to you. Run your mouth like that, act like a spoiled brat, judge others and you get what you get. I think it's about time you learn how to respect people, even if you don't like them. Now, I think that it's time that you go upstairs to your room and leave me alone for a while. I have things to do, people to contact about this mess you and Ben got yourselves in. I'm already tired of this shit.
...[Private/at home]
I was just speaking my mind, but everyone here are stuck up brats.
I can tell you that most of the kids here, yourself included, act like stuck up brats. You all judge. You're all hypocrites. Who're you to measure someone else's pain and say it's something he should be able to handle without complaint? Who're you to say anything against anyone? Speaking your mind is one thing, but any asshole can run his mouth and think himself the big man, as you and Ben so completely proved tonight - but it takes someone to hold his tongue and learn to listen. The both of you acted like immature brats tonight, and not only did you completely disregard the feelings of another person, but you made everyone around the two of you feel like shit. So if that's what you wanted to do when you opened your mouth, you succeeded. And secondly, don't you ever use the Thibodeaux family as a threat against anyone. Ever. We're you're family. We're not people that you can bring up when you get into an argument and treat us like we're you're personal arsenal. That's not what a family is. Hell, that's not what you do to your friends, either. If you think that your friends and family have to step in and fight your battles and you have to use them as a threat against someone else, you're not only an idiot, but you're a coward. On to what you asked earlier, about the 'foreseeable' future. Since you wanted to use the family as a threat against someone you didn't like - but you've yet to take the time to get to know any of us -- that's part of what's going to happen. You're going to get to know every Thibodeaux family member, from my grandmother, to my parents, my aunts and uncles, my cousins and nieces and nephews. All of them, and maybe next time you start throwing the name around like it's a threat, you'll remember everyone that's in that family. For the foreseeable future goes until I think you've learned what you need to. That means that your free time? It's gone. You have homework, you have classes - then you're right back here. Apparently, I can't trust you enough to let you stay in the dorms. You'll be here, doing your chores, helping out where it's needed, you'll be studying for your learner's permit, you'll be getting to know the family... and those weekend get togethers that I go to? No longer voluntary on your part. You're going, and you're either going to be help cooking or you'll be babysitting. Video games? Gone. Trips off campus with friends? Not anymore. You can read a book. Maybe that'll settle you down. I'll give you the use of your internet, but I reserve the right to take that away if you keep acting like this. Your friends aren't allowed to come over until your punishment is over, and it starts right now.
You feel like explaining what went on today, or are you going to stand there pouting?
Foreseeable future? How long is that going to be? We’re going to have to dress nice.
We'll be talking about that. Like I said, tell your friends for the foreseeable future.
I’m coming.
Make sure you tell your friends that you won't be seeing them outside of classes for the foreseeable future. By the way, the court date is set for February 24 at three pm.
This isn’t good.
You think it would be? Oh, that's right, you don't think. Get home. We need to talk.
You had him before me so you set up those expectations…
Just keeping you on your toes. I figured you deserved to have a dog that would be willing and able to go on all the adventures that you'll take after Atlas.
He’s way too spoiled as it is.
And whose fault is that?
Oh...knock it off and go spoil Football.
Then stop looking so good when you sleep.
I meant when you sleep, you get a little spot on your pillow.
You need to stop watching me when I sleep, James.
