Powell had a boyfriend, if what’s been going on is any indication, and regardless, Powell’s ex-boyfriend is still one of your friends, so you weren’t doing anything but pulling in one of your friends and promising that they would fight for you if things escalated, so that’s not you fighting your own battles. Just as a further clarification.
Sir... I've known Bryce and Powell for a very long time, long before either of us even came into this school. So, when I say that Powell has a boyfriend, I can say it with full confidence. As for pulling Bryce in, the point is that I wouldn't even have to. When it comes to Powell, Bryce is protective and possessive to the point of excess, and he already does not get along with Denver. So he's not going to like this, that I can assure you.

gambling-protector replied to your post: I’m not trying to lay fault at all. I’m trying to do is explain that things got out of hand tonight. Your friend has the right to say what he wants, and act how he wants, and deal with things as he wants. That’s not the point in this conversation. The point is: you and Denver need to stop with the hostility. You threatening to hurt him or to have your friends hurt him, him pulling in /my/ family into it was uncalled for. And honestly, I’ll get the both of you kicked out if it keeps up. Fair?
“It wouldn’t be me you would have to worry about”… that was something close to what you said to him. That is as ‘clear’ as I need. I’ll see you in class. Have a good night.
Oh... well, if you must know... I wasn't talking about me doing anything. Powell has a boyfriend, sir. And while their relationship is going through a rough patch right now, it will pass, and when it does, he's not going to be particularly happy about the things Denver said to his boyfriend. Moreover, his temper is far more likely to flare up than mine is.
You have a good night, too, sir.
I'm not trying to lay fault at all. I'm trying to do is explain that things got out of hand tonight. Your friend has the right to say what he wants, and act how he wants, and deal with things as he wants. That's not the point in this conversation. The point is: you and Denver need to stop with the hostility. You threatening to hurt him or to have your friends hurt him, him pulling in /my/ family into it was uncalled for. I suppose so. That shouldn't be an issue so long as he lets me and my friends be. Oh, and by the way, just for the sake of clarity, I wouldn't send anybody after him. If I ever were to fight Denver, I would do it myself. I'm not the type to let other people take care of my problems.
I'm working on it. Believe it or not, it's not something that can be changed overnight, but if you know that he reacts in a certain way, why do you egg him on? As for getting involved in things he shouldn't, having something posted for public viewing is allowing people to comment on it. I'm not saying that he should have said what he did: he shouldn't, but I am saying that next time someone wants only his friends to see it, mark it that way. That would solve a lot of potential headaches.
Egg him on? No, no. I'm usually more than content with pretending that he doesn't exist, but tonight be went after my friend, who's already vulnerable as is, over reasons that are as inane as his entire attitude toward this school and the people in it. So, I'm afraid you'll have to excuse my inability to ignore him this time. And people shouldn't have to do anything. Everybody has a right to vent out their problems without being attacked for it. And for the record, it's not like Powell made an announcement asking to be pitied. He and I were having a conversation that Denver decided to butt in on. I may be at fault for losing my temper with him, but that's about the only thing I'm at fault for.
I'm not talking to just you so drop the patronizing attitude. I don't take lightly to threats towards anyone; I don't care the reason or the tone. He was out of line, but threatening him was just as bad. If you have a problem, you get a teacher. If I see you taking one step towards him, or anyone in this school, with the intention to harm, you'll be out of here so fast your head will spin. I don't care who your father is. Violence is never tolerated.
Oh, you wanna talk about threats, sir? Fine, then let's all about all the times Denver has threatened to set me and my friends on fire, or all the times he's gotten into a million of different arguments with students all over the school, which is why barely anybody likes him. I'm not gonna go to the teachers the next time this happens, which it will, because, let's be real, nobody does that. So if you wanna put a stop on it, you better start by teaching Denver to be civil, because all of this happened because he decided to act like a raging asshole and get involved in matters that didn't concern him, which is what he always does, and one of these days that is going to get him into some serious shit.
The next time you have a problem with a student, get a student involved. Threatening to beat the crap out of him or having your friends do it for you is grounds for not only the board of the school to get involved but for the authorities. Keep in mind how seriously bullying is viewed. That being said, I'll talk to Denver, as I would have done had you had the sense to get a teacher involved instead of carrying on. Both of you acted like idiots.
...
I'm sorry, Sir, but I find it patently hilarious that you're talking to me about bullying, considering what Denver did. That being said, I will concede that I did get carried away. However, I don't speak just for the sake of it. Denver better leave Powell alone, or I'll be forced to make good on my words. I do not take lightly to people bashing on my friends without reason.
Good. Feel better, Benny. Text me whenever for anything. Love ya.
Will do! loye ya' too, bud!
Are you fucking kidding me, Denver?
That’s all assuming you could.
... Y'know, you're right. So I'm just gonna go now and take Powell out to eat, and if you ever run your mouth about him again I'm not gonna say a thing. I'm just going to find you and beat the living daylights out of you, because talking with you is about as pointless as trying to talk a cockroach out of stepping directly under my falling foot.
You have good night, Denver.
I'm almost positive a lot of us wish for something along those lines as well. I just don't want you to get in trouble for starting a fight or anything. I'm hoping I'm distracting you well enough.
You are... I'm just gonna take Powell out to eat, though. I think I need to be away from the school for a little while before I end up snapping.
Are you fucking kidding me, Denver?
Let’s see how long you survive if you lay a finger on me, my family isn’t so keen on people beating up one of their own.
I don't give a flying fuck about you or your family. The only thing I give a fuck about is how much I want to grab your face and bash your head against the floor until you shut up, and how much harder you keep making it for me not to with every passing second.
This is a Ben Wylie appreciation message. I appreciate you, Benny. xoxo, Cam.
Thanks, Cam. I just... sigh, I really wish Denver would learn to mind his own fucking business.
Are you fucking kidding me, Denver?
I am self-centered and always have been. Honestly, what could you do to me anyhow? I’m not scared of you or your lackies.
I could easily smash your face and give you the kind of beating that you'll remember for a while if I really wanted to, and I kind of do, not gonna lie. But it's not me you need to worry about, Denver. Oh no...
Are you fucking kidding me, Denver?
Anyone that has a boyfriend. Freedom of speech, for as long as I have to see his stupid remarks flying around the more I’m going to point out how ridiculous he is. If Powell doesn’t want a third person saying anything on his personal business he shouldn’t post it out there for everyone to see all the damn time. I won’t leave him alone, not unless someone stops me.
Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that you could feel so personally vulnerated by another person's relationship woes. I mean, honestly, how fucking self-centered do you have to be to claim that their troubles bother you? If you wanna keep on running your mouth like a fucking idiot, be my guest. But there will be consequences, you little shit.
Are you fucking kidding me, Denver?
I don’t think you realize just how annoying he is being about this breakup. Sending himself messages, whining about other peoples happiness, being a general dick to those that are trying to cheer him up. He’s being an idiot and I’m the only one that can stand up and say it to his face.
I'm sorry, whose happiness is he whining about now? And why the flying fuck do you care? If you don't like what he is saying, you just shut the fuck up and stop listening. That is what most of us do every goddamn time you decide to punish us by opening your mouth and broadcasting your thoughts about what you don't like as though we're supposed to give a single fuck about it. None of this is your fucking business, so shut the fuck up and get the fuck away from Powell already.
