So now we’re at last free to run about again, what is there to do in this city? And does anyone want to grab a spot of tea?
Want to find out with me gorgeous? Hey, I’m not opposed.
Pain flinched when she felt a hand on her shoulder, a little edgy after having a nightmare the night before, “Dont touch me.” she warned, looking almost feral as her eyes flicked up to see who had pulled her from her thoughts.
“Woah there, chomper,” Charlie laughed, pulling himself back. He flicked his eyebrows up. Get a load of this one. “Sorry girly, do you mind, you’re just right in front of that thing I need.”
Quasi was sitting at one of the tables in the dinning car, a small collection of figurines featuring various acts and performers. He was working on trying to get one of each performer finished so he could start selling them at their next stop with confidence he’d have enough just in case they were popular. He hoped they would be popular.
Charlie sauntered into the dining car booth, the poor guy needing some space after his bar tender had been whining in his ear all evening. He rolled his neck, and as it came back down, his eyes zeroed in on tiny figures piled up next to some guy at one of the tables. Charlie waked up to the owner of said figures, jutting his hip to lean on the opposite booth.
“Watcha got there?”
"Do you ‘ave a line you won’ cross? Anyt’in’ dat makes you pause when it come to ya adventures?"
"I don’ make easy ties. I could be wit’ someone, but even dat process take far too long for anyone ta actually care. An’ even afta dat… polyamory or open relationships usually don’ sit right wit’ anyone. An’ even if it did, I ‘ave been called too wild… I make too many problems, but where is de fun in life if ev’ryt’in’ goes so smoothly? It is much easia ta jus’… fin’ someone ta scratch an itch an’ den be on my way.”
Her mouth curled up in a grin, her dark eyes playful. “You are doin’ exceedingly well, keepin’ me entatained an’ savin’ me from such a boring night. But secrets, Mista Charlie, I hafta know.”
"You're trying to get into my head, huh? Well no, there's nothing, not a thing." He felt the tick of his pocket watch against his lower stomach, nestled safely in his pocket. Not a thing.
He smirked, acknowledging her words, "So you're one of those, eh?" And Charlie was one of those who would consider the process far too arduous to bother. "Too wild does sound good. I'm all about doing what needs to be done and getting on with my life."
"C'mon, beautiful, you'd get far too bored with me if I just told you everything. And I'd rather hear more about what you have to say."
Little Ameba || Hiccup & Charlie
Hiccup looked up at the man, and started shaking his head. His cheeks turned bright red, and he tried to cover them with his hands. “No, no that’s not it at all. I just..Don’t..Understand it all. What’s so special about today?” He mumbled, chewing on his bottom lip.
Charlie grinned, this kid was still savable, huh. "That's what I'm saying kiddo! It's not really special at all. Trust me, and this'll take you pretty far. Romantic love is pointless."
Which was what was so fascinating about him. But she wouldn’t press the matter.
"Vaguely is a good place ta start. Opens all sorts ah doors for all sorts of adventures, if you are lookin’ for one. I recall you said you were."
"So complicated," she said flippantly. "Not a lot ah communication mos’ly. An’ my own nature… I am not an easy person ta be wit’. But it is de season isn’ it? Tell me, what were your plans for taday? Anyone caught ya int’rest ta give attention to?”
"I'm constantly in search of an adventure. I'd open any door that promised me a thrill."
"Not a lot of communication, huh?" He brought his glass up to his lips, taking a sip. "You're not an easy person to be like, huh? I'm not getting that vibe. Tell me more about that."
"Plans, oh y'know, talk to you, see, I'm doing it exceedingly well. Caught my interest? Well I think I'll keep that to myself, thanks."
"I bet you would." She laughed. "I ‘ave a… love ah infamation, if you will. I find it very int’resting."
"See, someone undastan’s me. " She grinned, taking her glass from the bartender. "You don’ like stayin’ in one place for too long? I undastan’ dat." She set her drink in front of her, touching her fingers to the base and sliding them up so her forefinger traced the rim. "Speakin’ ah someone gettin’ right to de point. At de moment, so much is up in dee air."
"Why do you ask?"
"Correction, wouldn't. Not a soul digging kind of guy." He raised an eyebrow, full of intrigue. "Do you now? Never really cared that much myself."
"And it seems you vaguely understand me yourself." Not that he was so complex in his own head, but people around him could either be so innocent, or so bitter, they couldn't wrap their heads around his loose living philosophy. "So much up in the air? By all means, elaborate."
"Oh, y'know, 'tis the season and all."
No? An’ I’m not a kid. Thanks.
With that sour as face of yours, you looked like you might. And keep telling yourself that, soft cheeks. You're welcome.

Yikes, ok,
Would I give good advice? Yeah, sure, here's a real treasured piece of advice. Avoid attachment, entirely. Trust me, you'll thank me.
Am I romantic? Oh hell no. Yeah, relationships, romance, not my thing, not by a long shot.
Do I have a crush? Yeah, ok, welcome back to junior high. Some people are pretty attractive here, but I'm not about to get all googly-eyed.
Am I a virgin? Cute question.
And finally, have I ever broken someone's heart? Probably, I just don't stay around to find out.

"I suppose so." She grinned. "If you offa ta buy me a drink, I won’ say no. What edge, ‘andsome? What is so bad dat not even drinking can take dee edge off?"
"God woman, I'd hate to hear your version of a heart to heart."
"Fair enough." He nodded, lips pressed upwards in an approving sort of smile. "Smart girl." He chuckled, shaking his head at her, "Oh please, gorgeous, I'm no drama queen. Y'know, the stir crazy kinda edge. I guess I'm the only on dying for a bit of adventure. But this is coming from the guy who gets cabin fever outside." He set down his drink, leaning forward. "On an off note, it's Valentine's, isn't it? Where's your boyfriend?"
Little Ameba || Open
Hiccup looked around the dining car, and furrowed his brows. So many people were tangled into each other in the booths, staring at each with love in their eyes. The whole thing made him confused. Why didn’t he feel this way for anyone? Why was he being singled out? Why couldn’t he be attracted to..well,..anyone? He let out a loud huff and placed his head in his hands. “This is the dumbest holiday.” He mumbled as he continued to watch everyone.
Charlie slid into the only seat where there was no smooching in his peripheral vision. They were twenty somethings, deeply in love, oblivious to how exactly pointless love was, not that he was gonna break the news to them, but he considered himself above it. "So you're a watcher then, huh?" Charlie smirked, teasingly, watching the kid oggle intertwined couples. "Tell me you're not jealous."
All these couples make me sick.
You gonna beat 'em up, kid?
"What you are ‘aving." She said, sliding across from him. "Are you drinkin’ ta drink or do you need ta take dee edge off?"
He signaled to the bartender, "Whiskey on the rocks."
"Clearly you don't waste any time on small talk, huh? Gee well, drinking to drink I guess. Drinking can't exactly help with the edge I've got right now. If we're being deep, why are you drinking? Socially?"
"Fancy meetin’ you ‘ere."
He smirked, tipping his head and his whiskey glass at her, "Fancy meeting you here, indeed."
"Can I get you anything Miss Tia?"
Too Close For Comfort : Open
"Ah well, since she’s non existent I guess we’ll never know" She let out a sigh and even a bit of a fake pouty face as if sorry that they could never find out.
"I dunno, you can get a lot across with only a few seconds. Who knows, maybe my body language was making promises my brain couldn’t keep."
"I mean, I think it'd be pretty difficult for you to be here today if you had never at any point had a grandmother." She was a bit high school for his tastes, not the busty blondes he was used to. Plus the sarcasm, he usually tried not to deal in sarcasm."
"Something like that, kid, I'm sure."
"An’ I ‘ave almos’ my whole life in my profession unda mine." She grinned and counted the money before tucking it down the front of her dress. "Not dat I scammed, min’ you. Well, not always. Remin’ me, howeva, ta ask about ya time in Vegas. I wan’ ta hear stories about it."
"You made de mistake ah lettin’ me see ‘ow much money you ‘ad." She laughed, getting up to sit. "But, ta make up for it, I will give you a good reading. Very thorough, if you can handal it. But I hafta have ya word dat if you choose ta go wit’ thorough, you won’ get angry wit’ me." She held out her hand. "Dominant hand, if you please."
"Stories, why I've got stories stacked as high as the eye can see. Ask whenever if you're in need of some first class entertainment."
"What can I say, not only are you smarter than me, I'm just a horrible show off." He stuck out his right hand to her, still chatting away. He thought this was a bit ridiculous, but it would make for a good story. "Handle it, why I'm sure as hell I can. And get angry at a face like that? No, siree, you have my word."
"So then, lay it on me."
