Mun is back now
I'm back
miss me?
A magical child running around…. That could be interesting. Bruce chuckled to himself as he tied the balloon off for Nora. As he handed it to her, a thought occurred. “Your mother knows you’re here, right?” The last thing he needed was an angry Natasha.
Eagerly the child took the balloon and bounce it about in the air like one would a ball, “She know.” Nora stated, “Mama tolds me to finds yous.” She explained, “Her worry.” Nora knew her Uncle Bruce was a good close friend of her Mother’s and she knew her Mom worried about her friends a lot.
"She has no reason to worry. You tell her that Uncle Bruce is a big boy and he can take care of himself." Bruce grinned. "Now how about some lunch? I was thinking of having a sandwich. Would you like one?"
@Nora ((sorry it wouldn’t let me reply))
The time tested chemical reaction took place and Bruce gasped dramatically as the balloon filled. “You did it! Are you sure your Uncle Loki hasn’t taught you any magic?”
“Presto!” She said as the balloon began to fill having almost forgotten to say the word as she was far too intent on watching it all and then she clapped and shrugged, “Don’t t’ink sos. Maybes he will when Is older.”

((Having trouble publishing posts))
“Do you know any magic words, Nora?” Bruce smiled, glad the child seemed entertained.
“Ummmm…” She thought a moment, “Presto!” She knew there was another one, but it was a big word and hard to say.
"Alright so say that while you turn the balloon upright and it'll get the magic powder into the bottle."
He watched her climb, grinning. “You’re a little monkey girl!” He carefully put vinegar in the bottle and baking soda in the balloon and fastened the end around the bottle’s opening. “Alright now you have to help me do the magic. You have to say some magic words and tip this balloon up, okay?”
“I likes Monkeys.” She giggled a little at being called that and then nodded, red curls bouncing about as she did so, “Mmkays.” She was happy and content and she found this all very interesting, maybe she’d do and be like her Uncle Bruce when she grew up.
"Do you know any magic words, Nora?" Bruce smiled, glad the child seemed entertained.
what other projects could a child do? Bruce grinned. There were always the classics. He picked up an empty bottle and a balloon. “I can blow up the balloon using just a bottle.”
Excitement broke out across the child’s face. Unlike her Mother she was animated, more like her Father in expressing her emotions and she smiled eagerly, “Okays.” She bit her little lower lip still smiling and climbed up on a stool at the breakfast bar, tired of standing at the moment. She was beginning to really love to climb things and often wished there were trees closer than the park and that her Mom would let her climb them.
He watched her climb, grinning. "You're a little monkey girl!" He carefully put vinegar in the bottle and baking soda in the balloon and fastened the end around the bottle's opening. "Alright now you have to help me do the magic. You have to say some magic words and tip this balloon up, okay?"
Biting his lip, Bruce frowned, trying to figure out how to explain non Newtonian fluids to a child. “Usually there are three different kinds of things in the world. They’re called solids, liquids, and gasses. A solid is like the table. It’s hard and doesn’t turn into different shapes. Liquids are like water, they flow and change. Gasses are like the air we breathe. Oobleck is special because it’s stuck between being a solid and a liquid. It can’t decide which one it wants to be.” He smiled sheepishly, unsure how much of that she understood.
She listened to his explanation and nodded, her little face scrunching up a bit trying to process it all, but she got the basic idea of it, “I likes. Cool.” She said with a smile, “What ot’er magics can yous do?”

“Yep.” She took the cup carefully and the stick and began to stir it, doing so quickly and then slowing down a little and then faster…
“Magic!” Her blue eyes went as wide as they could, “Like Oncle Okie.” She giggled as she cupped her little hands together to catch the stuff in them, “How?” She looked at him wondering how it worked and wanting to know, “Tells me hows.”

Bruce combined the ingredients in the cup and handed it to Nora with a popsicle stick. “Can you stir that for me?”
“Yep.” She took the cup carefully and the stick and began to stir it, doing so quickly and then slowing down a little and then faster again wondering what was going to happen, her gaze shifting from what she was doing to him and back again.
He grinned and took the stick then showed her how to poke the substance in the cup and how it seemed solid when she did so. Then he poured it over her fingers where it dripped like a liquid.
Leading Nora to the kitchen, Bruce grabbed a cup, corn starch, water, and purple food coloring. “Do you know what oobleck is?”
The little red head shook and curls danced, “Nope.” She was very curious to see what it was though as she followed him and watched him gather up the things he did.
Bruce combined the ingredients in the cup and handed it to Nora with a popsicle stick. "Can you stir that for me?"
He grinned at the little girl. “I haven’t done any of the stuffs in a while. Would you like to help me with some?”
Those bright blue eyes grew wide and she nodded enthusiastically, “Yes yes!” She even jumped up and down a little and clapped her hands, “Pwease.”
Leading Nora to the kitchen, Bruce grabbed a cup, corn starch, water, and purple food coloring. "Do you know what oobleck is?"
Glancing at the door, Bruce frowned. He thought Natasha and Nora had moved out weeks ago and no one else had a key to his apartment. Shrugging, he got up, rubbing his scruffy chin as he opened the door. “Nora?”
“Hi!” The child looked up at him, blue eyes and a beaming smile, “I gots bored ands Jarwis is too goods ats hides n seek. Are yous doing sci…” She tried again to say Science but couldn’t quite manage, “that stuffs?” She thought it was neat.
He grinned at the little girl. "I haven't done any of the stuffs in a while. Would you like to help me with some?"
Putting down his book, Bruce reached for his coffee mug only to find it empty. It really had been a long time since he left the room.
It had been a while since Nora had seen her Uncle Bruce, the girl was just a month shy from her birthday and she was getting excited as she bounded towards his room, bored with doing other things at the moment and knocked at his door as loudly as an almost three year old could, “Oncle Bwuce!”
