This concludes the first batch of easy flowers.  They are made from yarn, and useful for adorning other crochet projects, such as headbands, pouches, and cuffs.

These small flowers are so useful... Leave a long tail after fastening off, and thread in some beads to create book thongs or bag charms.

Easy Ruffled Beginner Crochet Flower Tutorial

Set 1. I'm using the 5-petal flower from the previous post. You will need a bead/button, nylon floss (about 6 inches long), tapestry needle, white glue (opt.)

Set 2. Fold floss in half and insert yarn in between strands. Insert floss ends into hole of bead. Pull through carefully.

Set 3. I used white glue to stiffen the end of the yarn for easy threading through the needle. Thread the bead/button through the front of the flower, and bring yarn to the back. Knot with end tail with the initial tail. Tuck ends in.
