Install of a custom light fixture I made out of steel piping is now up. Haven't placed fixture cap in yet as I will be painting the staircase walls and ceiling. If you want to build a similar light, it's quite easy. Total cost is around 120 bucks. All supplies can be found at a home renovation store.

Install of lights in basement is a success. Had to pull out roughly 400ft of old electrical wire (1960s era) and replace with new wiring. Lights are now run within quadrants instead of all over the place from the previous owners schematics. Also. Dimmer switches w/ Edison bulbs are the shit.
