A typology quiz for the years 1500 to 1789. Thirty-four questions, thirty-four types—humanist, Puritan, philosophe, magus, salonnière, merce
babe wake up new quiz dropped
I know I don’t really talk much with the artists I follow, but before I vanish back into the abyss, I have a couple of questions, as well as some general admiration for your level of skill with anthropomorphic animals.
First of all, how are you able to find time to make such awesome art? For me, it’s always so few and far between to find time to draw something or learn anything art related because irl stuff always swamps my schedule, and the during the times I do have free time for myself, my brain just doesn’t want to muster up the energy to try and do anything art or drawing related.
On the subject of anthropomorphic animals, is it just mammals that you draw, or are you able to draw other species, such as birds or reptiles?
Anyways, irl stuff is calling me, and I don’t want to lallygag any further, so I just want to say that your art is so amazing, and if you do happen to take art commissions, I’ll gladly give you money once I’m able to get some!!
Have a good day, and God bless you.
hey thanks for the kind words! >>> Do I Draw Other Species of Anthros I can draw birds, reptiles, other non-mammal anthros, I just don't have a pressing need for it right now since my comic involves just mammal characters. I've got some old art examples I can probably post in the future that showcases some species variety. >>> How Do I Make Time For Art I always make time to draw something every day, whether it's a full on 8hr drawing session or just a 15 minute sketch after an exhausting delivery route on 4 hours of sleep. Getting started (mustering up brain energy as you describe) is the hardest part, every time. But it does get easier if you just force yourself to start every day. Over and over. Until it becomes a ritual that you'd feel incomplete without doing, like how Arnold Schwarzenegger would feel if he skipped a gym day during his peak years. Just like a star athlete has days where they have bad performance due to stress, fatigue, illness etc, you're gonna have bad drawing days. But if you keep drawing even when things are bad, it'll be easier to regain speed when things improve again. People have different ways of pushing through it due to different brain chemistries. What works for me might not work for you; I'm diagnosed with both ADHD and TBI, and most days start with me having to fight off a rush of intrusive thoughts and distractions each morning until I just grab my pencil and get lost in my work. Sometimes that struggle takes hours due to interruptions from other IRL things; family matters and other adult tasks. But what keeps me going is having a Vital "Why?" for drawing. For me it's because the comic I'm doing is a story I absolutely NEED to tell, or I won't be able to look myself in the mirror ever again. For you it might be different, but whatever it is, even if it's just "because it's fun and I like bringing characters to life", focus in hard on that and make it your simple reason for why you keep drawing. Don't overcomplicate it. tl;dr, don't worry about making each day or drawing perfect, just be too stubborn to quit.

This has been sitting in my WIPs for almost a year and I'm finally glad it is done!

I’m not dead, just lazy, so here’s one of my attempts at trying to improve at outfit design! (His work uniform as a sort of interdimensional delivery boy)
He just emptied his cup, and now he's looking at you… What do you do?! 🍺🦎
