I took my little brother (autistic, mostly non verbal) out and he was using his voice keyboard to tell me something, and this little boy (maybe 4 or 5?) heard him and asked me "Is he a robot??" My little brother insisted if I was going to post about him, he wanted a cut of the "profits". When I explained to him that Tumblr isn't monetized, and is pretty pointless, he and my older brother pointed out that he'd still be bringing me "fame and notoriety" if the post got "big". So we agreed, if the post hit 10k notes, which seemed extremely farfetched and silly at the time, I'd take my little brother out for sushi (his favorite food) and let him eat as much as he wants.

She was round, rotund, as if a pearl hung

from my Christmas tree.

They say that Aphrodite was birthed from an oyster, and I

believe them.

She was wrapped in velveteen ribbon,

and stuck through

with pins.

She was a dancer,

spinning in her midair ballet,

hanging from her eternal post, until January.

Oh opalescent thing,

she glanced at me from across the room,

her eyes jewels set in the silk of her sockets.

Oh glimmering, posh thing,

she is the antithesis to knowing.

She brings philosophers to their knees,

the blunt force tidal wave of small hands, reaching,

unimpeded by logic or reasoning.

She holds her cigarette to the pages

of Plato,

and they burn

beneath the human heat

of hunger.

Oh gilded, gorgeous, dazzling thing,

She is suspended in the light of heaven,

for such an ungrateful audience.

It is of my six year old opinion that

she should remain hidden

to all but me.
