    An abandoned house was not an ideal place to spend the night, no matter where you were. But it was, presumedly, empty and Lucan needed a place to hide until daylight came. Perhaps he should have done the smart thing and done a scan. Pay attention to the scratches on the wall, the recently disturbed dust, everything about the house that told him he was not alone. It was only when hands grabbed at him, that Lucan realized he made a mistake.

   “Woah, woah, woah! Easy, dude!” Lucan put his hands up, to defend himself and signal he meant no harm. He expected to see some human– but the blue scars gave away he was dealing with an android before he even noticed the flashing light. 

    “Hi, hello, how are you? I’m Lucan, I didn’t know this was your spot, I’m sorry, please don’t cut me up,” Lucan couldn’t help but speak quickly. His own LED was flickering between red and yellow. “I didn’t know you were here.”

Ralph analyzed the intruder before deciding to let go. The other android’s LED comforted him but didn’t make him any less wary. The knife pulled away but stayed clutched to his chest. He took a few steps away to keep distance before speaking.

“Ralph doesn’t like visitors.” The WR600 stated, taking in more of the android, who he learned was named Lucan. “Why is Lucan here?”

As much as the burned android wanted to seem threatening, his hands shook and he twitched violently as he became more and more anxious. The LED spun it’s bright red restlessly, waiting for explanations to settle himself.

"Ralph! It's me, Alice! How have you been!?" Her smile was sincere, and so was her concern. Even if they hadn't started the best of ways, she still appreciated that, without his help, they would have been unable to get to where they were now. "Is everything ok? I'm worried about you..."

Ralph bounced excitedly at the sight of an old friend, his face immediately stretching into a smile. “Alice! Ralph is happy to see you again!”

The burned android had worried about his visitors after they left. He didn’t know what the humans outside of his home had done to them once they left. Seeing the child in front of him safe and happy settled every nerve in his wires.

“Ralph has been okay! Ralph has been learning to control his emotions; he doesn’t want to hurt anymore of his friends.” His plastic hands raised slightly from where they were clasped over his chest, revealing how he no longer clutched onto his kitchen knife.

Ralph’s head jerked as the door clicked open. Bugs chirped distantly into the night as the deviant scratched words into the kitchen walls. Instinctively, he held his knife close and hid.

Steps creeped closer to Ralph’s hiding spot by the kitchen door frame. ‘rA9 save me’ seemed to swim through his head before he grabbed his intruder by their blonde hair and held a knife close to their neck.

“Who are you? What do you want with Ralph?!” The gardener screamed, his LED flashing red, desperate to keep himself safe.
