Korosensei, of course, was surprised by the fear in the other’s eyes. He was… In disguise, right-?! He did a quick check-over, relaxing visibly when he realized he was, in fact, still wearing his disguise. Good. He turned his attention back to the newcomer, hearing the squeal of the piglet and glancing down to it, then back up to the stranger.
The tears… At the thought of a school, a place that was meant to be a safe haven…! Korosensei couldn’t help but feel a bit of his heart twist as he paused in his steps, not daring to get closer. He reached a gloved tentacle out, before retracing it slightly.
“… Miss, I promise, there’s no one at the satellite campus other than my partner right now.” He tried to offer a reassuring smile. “The students and other faculty all went home for the day… And I just want to help, please…?” He held out the gloved tentacle, to see if she would actually take it- or if he’d need to just help her out here (harder, but not by much). “How can I forget seeing someone who needs help?”
He tilted his head, the other ‘hand’ going up to rub at the side of his head, as if in a questioning action. Really… What did this girl go through, that the thought of school left her in a panic? He could ask later. Right now, her health was a more pressing matter- the physical health, anyway. He could deal with the mental once they were back at the satellite campus…
“Besides, it is rather risky to stay out here… If you really want, I can try to help you here- but it would be safer if I helped you back at the building. Please?” This girl was puzzling him. The piglet seemed to want him to help, but she seemed as against it as vinegar and water. “If you want, I won’t tell anyone of our encounter- but I just can’t leave you injured like this! It would go against my oath as a teacher.” He shook his head.
If nothing else, he was going to try to help her- the injuries didn’t seem too bad, but they were a bit off-putting all the same. Any manner of injury in a place as filthy as a forest could be a potential death sentence if one wasn’t careful. Although really, that was true of any location… Still.
The girl remained silent as the strange teacher spoke to her. She was unsure whether to trust this man or to just try and handle things on her own. What was the right option? Which one would keep her safe but also not make her uncomfortable? He didn’t seem like a bad person... But a lot of people can appear kind only to be truly cruel deep down.
He was even offering to not tell anyone about meeting her. That was something she didn’t expect to hear, but it was also rather reassuring. Maybe she should truly think about trusting him. It wasn’t like she could really wash all the mud off of her or handle these injuries by herself. She couldn’t even look at the scratches, afraid of seeing the crimson liquid that kept her alive.
Blue eyes stare at the gloved hand he was holding out to her, body trembling as she tried to go over all the possibilities that might occur if she accepted help. Her gaze then fell to the small animal in her arms, who was now looking at her. Splice wasn’t afraid of this teacher, which was a good sign. That meant he was trust worthy at least to the piglet. If Splice thought he was safe...maybe it was okay then.
Aika took in a deep breath, doing her best to stay calm as her eyes once again rose towards the teacher. “...okay.. I-... I’ll follow you... Thank you, mister....” She slightly stuttered, keeping her voice quiet, as if afraid of being too loud. Hesitantly, she reached a hand out, taking his as she slowly rose to her feet, only slightly stumbling as she did so. She didn’t realize just how exhausted she truly was...
“..just please...don’t tell anyone... I can’t...have anyone know...” She once again said, keeping her sight downward at the ground. She felt ashamed. Ashamed to be seen in such a weak state by someone she didn’t know. Ashamed to have to ask for help and accept it from this person. An adult shouldn’t be this shameful.
