Are you Japanese or English? And do you have any plans to update Sonone Linako further?

Hi, I’m not Japanese. I’m actually not planning to further update Linako. All my UTAU projects and hobbies have been discontinued - at least indefinitely for a long time. Eveything from voicebanks to USTs will ocntinue to be online and available however.

I made a PV for Halloween (again) hooray!!

It’s a little belated now, but just posting it before I forget. It’s my friend, Brella’s, UTAU covering Sakamaki Reiji’s character song, since I guess we cover Dialover songs like… idk, once a year. Kinda.

Anyway, this is my second real PV I’ve ever made and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

I know this question might seem a little vague, but I'm creating a voice bank and it doesn't sound very nice, it sounds extremely robotic and almost annoying. Is there any advice you can give on how to make a better voice bank? I love your work, by the way!

Hi there!Well, there could be a few factors that determine how "robotic" or "realistic". One being the quality of your microphone. For reference I used a Blue Snowball, but there are a bunch of mics that are decent quality for UTAU purposes. Here's a detailed guide from aster: http://fuzzleyan.tumblr.com/post/40163329824/the-great-fuzzle-masterpost-on-mics-for-utau-users but a part of the quality of the recordings come from how pure your sound is. My mic favors bass over treble, perhaps that is why my recordings don't really have a "twang" like robotic voices have. Do you have a quiet recording space? Does the room echo sound? Make sure you're away from humming (like from your computer), and if possible reduce other interference like reflected sound. What I did for some recordings was wrap my mic in a thin sock/cloth to isolate the bg noise, but it doesn't work for everyone! Also, if you are tweaking recordings in anyway, like pitching or equalizing, be mindful of the levels you're using because they could attribute to unwanted noise on recordings. That's all the advice I can give right now, but if you fulfill the first two points, a "realistic" sounding UTAU should be in the horizon! I ain't the best source for UTAU wisdom, but I hope that helps in anyway!

This isn't really a question... but you're utau's are absolutely fantastic! Especially Linako... she's her voice is so gorgeous. Who voices these utau's haha? You and your friends? They're fantastic :D

Thanks! I still need to learn so much aha;;TBH I spent most of my younger years haphazardly drawing without technique and aim so I can't really pinpoint anything I used when I was beginning to draw. In fact, when I started out I couldn't find much resources online so I was picking out pictures I really liked and privately "copying" them in my sketchpad. I used to also find books of illustrations and render them with pencil. So if I tell myself "Wow I really like this style" I'll try to pinpoint which part of the style I like and adapt my current way of drawing to have a flavor of what I discovered as well...IM A REALLY BAD EXPLAINER but I hope some of this was of use aha
