New Tumblr update fixes

So I went searching in the hopes that maybe people have already started making scripts to fix Tumblr’s fuck-ups update, and there are already a couple out! Bless you guys.

There’s not many unfortunately but hopefully that will change as more time passes for people to make the scripts and undo this mess that Tumblr has thrown at us — again.

You will need the Stylish extension to install these. Get it here for Chrome; or here for Firefox.

Post/Reblog/Close Button Swap (Swaps the post/reblog/close buttons to their original positions)

Old/Smaller Tumblr Header Font (Replaces Tumblr’s new, ‘giant’ header font with the smaller one from before the update)

Tumblr Text Edit Always Visible (Moves the text-editing tools like bold and italics on the left side of the post underneath your icon, so you no longer need to highlight text to edit it)

So...pink. 

Yuuka clicks her tongue as crimson eyes set upon the fresh faced teen at the door -- her daughter, according to this city's law, Eruna. The youkai had been about to set out from her homely imprisonment when she had pulled open the front door and there the young girl was by some divine intervention. By and large she was unimpressed, if the scowl that sullied such delicate features was any indication at all. But it's merely disdain and no more, for as precocious and obnoxiously pink as the human girl appeared, Yuuka had no quarrel with her yet.

The young mother sizes the other up once more before she finally shuts the door behind her and eases past her, though when she did so she had linked themselves to each other by the elbows and by then was effectively dragging Eruna, giving no choice but to keep in stride or be pulled along like a dog. 

"Our food stores have been depleted, so it's off to the market for us. You came along just in time, little girl; aren't I lucky to have a daughter as reliable as you? I must be~." Honey and lemon. She speaks to her junior in only sweet tones and gentle words, her dissatisfaction that marked her features previously vanishing, and her aura radiates mirth and good will.

After getting distracted more than way too many times, Jaime finally makes it to his apartment. First, instead of charging in, he takes a moment to stare at his new humble abode. He looks at it, top to bottom, and finally says, “What a nice place! Certainly this will be yet another comfortable home I can live at to this date. I feel it in my heart!” With that exclamation, the boy rushes in— a bag in each hand filled with goods such as sweet treats, and some souvenirs within.

He opens the door to apartment 1.008, and walks in with a big grin on his face- excited to see what can be inside, what surprise this new apartment holds for the foreigner. Though, the first thing that catches his eyes is a beautiful lady! Oh, right… He’s supposed to be living with someone, right?

“Hi, amigo!” He says his usual greeting in an enthusiastic tone, dropping his bags to the floor, but then the boy pauses… Mulling over some thoughts, he corrects himself, “Or would it be madre? Yes, yes. It’s nice to meet you!”

He takes a few more steps into the room, looking around with his golden eyes. It seems like some very charming decorations have been put up, giving the place a very warm, domestic feel. He liked it!

“Oooh! Did you make something? It smells brilliant!” He asks, turning his head in all these directions to get the full view of the new room around him. He clasps his hands together, and at last turns to Yuuka, “So! I take it your new here too! Have you checked out the town yet, it’s very unique. But I want to learn more about you first! We’re living together, isn’t that right? Maybe we can introduce ourselves more- where are you from?”

     Jaime. Such light and amusement reached his eyes when he took in the small comforts that made a house into a home. Yes indeed, this one would be fun to tease. But their time together is still young and she refused to show all of her cards at once, so her kind smile remained posed on her features. 

     "You certainly waste no time at all!" Yuuka remarked and stood from her seat. As she fixed two cups of piping hot tea, setting the tiny cakes on a platter, she complied with his request. "I lived on a mountain for quite a large period of my life -- though there my true home was aptly dubbed Garden of the Sun. I promise it was the most beautiful field of of sunflowers one could ever set their eyes on.~"

     "So with that in mind it is quite a shock to live here now! Lots of concrete and lights? It certainly makes me nostalgic. I hope you too have fond memories of home, ne?"

"well you could probably still do plaid," uta stood a good distance away from her and eyed her clothes from top to bottom, she was a colorful character he’ll give her that. he stands closer, tugging at various points on her shirt sleeves and skimmed his eyes over the vertical and horizontal lines that made the plaid patterns she seemed fond of. inhaling the powerful aroma of flowers his nose twitched then he sneezed, loud and echoing into the empty store he stood back up and sniffled. "oh, dear. i’m sorry, you just.." he sniffled again and for a brief moment dropped his polite expressions, going deadpanned. "you smell sweet," sickeningly sweet. it was things like these that reminded him of why humans were disgusting, yet he could tell by her overly sweet attitude that something was off about her as well. "hm.." a soft hum left his lips. turning around and tugged out a rack or two containing a long flowing red dress and a white jacket to go with it, a long golden line going down the dress then bursting at the edges in a flower like pattern. "i believe this would look nice on you, hm? not too flashy and perfect for the day time," he went on and on about the list of things she could possibly wear, half of it was because again, designs were something he liked - the other half was to ignore anything she was possibly saying to him. there was a nagging feeling that this girl came for more then just window shopping, could be here because of those rumors. "ah.." he suddenly stopped, picking out another set of clothes and thrusted them into her arms. offering a faux smile.

     "Keen eyes and a keen nose too? Impressive. Flowers and all their parts are one of my favorite things -- so while their fragrance lingers so too does their pollen." Gladly she cradled the items in her arms, mindful to not wrinkle or crumple the fabrics. She hadn't a need for them, but that didn't mean she'd walk out of this little detour empty handed either. Nor did she intend to continue charades for that matter.

     Her niceties only spread so much and it was an unfortunate side effect of old age that tedium affected her much more rapidly than most. Take pity on an old woman.

      "My second favorite thing, and it really is a close tie, is power. And it reverberates off your person unlike any mortal that has ever wasted their time on me or I, charitably so, them. Thus I came here to pose you only three W's -- who are you, what are you, and why is a big fish swimming in such a small pond? Simple, painless, and I'll even give you a candy too." Her shoulders shrugged and a bemused smile poised itself on her lips when her eyes gesture down to the garments in hand. "As for providing for your small business with my patronage? Well, it'd be rude to be so invasive AND deprive you of coin. I'm feeling generous today.~"

     Children? Yuuka had no opinion, really. Weren't they just the same as any other human? Pigheaded and fun to watch squirm about but she supposed the difference lied in their mirth and inexperience -- children ordinarily had yet to be crushed under anyone or anything's boot heel. And she was always content to lend a service. It was better to start them early!

     Yuuka, a mother? What a dreadful idea. Though you wouldn't know it as she prepared tea and cakes, set vases of daffodils and daisies on the kitchen table and the coffee table; throwing open the curtains to let natural light pour onto the carpet of this domestic cage. She'd play along, indulge in house for now, but soon she'd get bored -- and no one was safe when ennui filled her cup. But one needn't worry yet. Not at all.

     The door clicked open and the "domestic goddess" peered up from the pages of Good Housekeeping, her lips slowly baring teeth. The picture of serenity greeting her fresh faced charge.

     "I was failed to be informed that my son would such a keen looking person," Yuuka nodded once and closed her light reading. Familiarity, perhaps too much of it, filled the contents of her greeting. But there was nothing wrong with that, right? They were family now. "Jaime. I'm Yuuka, pleased to finally meet you. I do hope we can get along.~"

evidently he was the talk of the town but not because of his peculiar attitude, his eyes seemed to draw attention from the supposed “normal” humans that swarmed the streets of the city. uta had two shops that he owned, one was a designer shop that he put up his masks that he designed and made for people but also clothes. some of them arranged from edgy monochromed things to bright and colorful stuff, skirts, sweaters, dresses, jeans - this was a lot nicer then his other shop which he taught a class on how to draw or to play an instrument. the only reason he ran both and at somewhat alternating times is because they were things he enjoyed to do, the saying was always to work with something you loved wasn’t it? people recognized him for his amazing talents and his “nice” attitude but there were always the people who spread rumors of him, some saying they see him eating people and hearing screams in the dead of night after he locks up his shops for the night. on this cloudy day he sat in the clothing store sketching out some new designs for a particular outfit he had in mind but probably would make at a later point. the door went off and he looked up at the costumer that walked in, a smile etched across his lips and he got up. taking slow and leisurely walks towards them he put on his best smile and lifted his hands in a faux attempt as being “scary”.

"can i help you with something? i do teach a class next door, i wouldn’t mind assisting you in either matter, i only suggest you buy the material and bring me my payment as well. i charge fairly reasonable fees, i promise."

     Woe to the poor soul who met this fellow out late at night. The florist was no seer, but she carried a horse sense; any mortal in their right mind would definitely stay clear of this man, and the thought nearly tickled her pink. Afraid? Never.

     The opposite entirely, as admittedly she was drawn like a moth to flame to such a simple pleasure this person seemed to ooze: power. Thus was why this new establishment placed snug in the neighborhood had brought about the youkai's arrival. She had been on her daily stroll when suddenly her attention was captured and held onto with a vice grip. Enamored, entranced. No weakness lied beyond those doors. But ambient decor sure did. So she entered the facility and perused halfheartedly the wares it held, though soon she was greeted with exactly what she sought. Red irises gleamed -- how frightening! How marvelous!

     "No, no, nothing of that sort I'm afraid! But I shall certainly keep that in mind for a later time. Rather, I've been told that I wear far too much plaid," Yuuka chuckled lightly when she gestured to her vest and trousers, both very checkered. "So I have come to add variety to my wardrobe."
