The most important part of this scene is the idea that if you're with Yelena on this journey and you believe that nothing really matters at the beginning, and then you meet this guy who's going through a similar thing, and you form some sense of connection with him, and then you feel like you've lost him, but you're there to rescue him. To see him in this other context, you know, this is what drives her to the rest of where this story is going and her true low point, which is to find that person that she met lost to her, and, you know, this sort of fight for his soul and his purpose between her and Val that they'll play out here.
