Garland's scowl deepens. The last person he wanted to see while dealing with this mess is Kai. He'll just make it all worse. "Why? This has nothing to do with you." It has a lot to do with Kai. And Takao. And whatever shit BEGA did to Brooklyn. But Garland can handle it. Certainly doesn't need Kai shoving himself where he's not needed. It'll just set Brooklyn off again and then Garland will have to clean up the mess once more.

*Kai waits, but the silence stretches on. No insects, no crackle of leaves; no wind through the branches or blades of grass. Kai eventually looks back at Garland - why isn't Brooklyn or Zeus making an appearance? What else could it be that he wants if it isn't Kai alone?*

Garland's eyes roam the clearing until he's looking back at Kai. He steps forward towards the man. "He's here... Right?" Garland was attacked just ten minutes ago, so why would Brooklyn leave? "He wouldn't have gone back..." Garland turns to look back the way they came. It's too silent for Zeus's dark energy to have left. Or perhaps, the dark energy just scared every creature away, other than Kai and Garland. "He really wouldn't have gone back, would he?"

"Start talking. Now."

Garland's scowl deepens. The last person he wanted to see while dealing with this mess is Kai. He'll just make it all worse. "Why? This has nothing to do with you." It has a lot to do with Kai. And Takao. And whatever shit BEGA did to Brooklyn. But Garland can handle it. Certainly doesn't need Kai shoving himself where he's not needed. It'll just set Brooklyn off again and then Garland will have to clean up the mess once more.

*Kai shakes his head. Garland hasn't changed of course, he's still a stubborn fucking fool who involves himself where he doesn't belong. But just the same, Kai knows he's right. It would be downright stupid to leave when there's a chance that even the smallest amount of help in the battle could tip the scales. Looking back out at the clearing, Kai looks around at his surroundings. Half-expecting a blade to come reeling at his face.* "I'm here. It's what you wanted."

Garland stands not far behind Kai, eyes searching every shadow for Brooklyn. There's no sound, not even the birds chirping in the trees. Fitting, considering what Zeus is. Garland is starting to feel relieved he's with Kai and not out here alone looking for Brooklyn.

Garland sat on the damp rock combing his fingers through his long hair. The sun felt good against his tail, his fin leisurely floating in the water as he stares out over the ocean. He should be more careful sitting out in the sun but Garland feels it’s worth the risk. There have been no humans sighted for a good few days and Garland has been itching to feel the warmth of the sun since he arrived at the island waters. Swimming all this way and not sunbathing here seemed like such a waste. As he sits, slowly growing more content, Garland softly begins to sing to himself.

Robert spends yet another moment preparing the man, before he has to move away slightly to prepare himself. Making sure it will go as easy as it can this first time between them. "I want to see your face as I have you.." He says, strong hands helping the prince to shift. Eyes locking; a promise of pleasure in Robert's. He lets a hand move over Garland's chest. Salima makes a 'hm ~' sound at Garland's reply. His words are honest, staying fit isn't only something he does to look good. She hasn't had the chance to see him train, but there is gossip about him knowing his stuff. Soon, she will be under his protection as well as his bride. "Judging by your mother's expression today, you are well liked and are very much loved." Sadly, Salima is aware of his many siblings and what being the youngest means. To her, he did shine most of all. "You fight to protect, then?"

Garland smiles at that. Salima understands him more than he expects. "I do." He reaches out and takes Salima's hands in his own. "And I now protect you. You and your family." All under his Kingdom's care. And any children that come from this union, he will protect too, but Garland doesn't say that out loud. "Will you join me on the bed?"

"No." *The answer comes quick even on Kai's part. Takao would jump at the chance to be involved, to help... But that's why he can't. Dragoon is the best of them - the strongest and the purest. If Takao were to get corrupted... Kai shakes the thought out of his head.* "We're here. Unless I can convince you to go back and wait for me to end this."

Garland shakes his head. "And leave you alone to get badly hurt?" Not just Kai. Brooklyn might be possessed, but chances are he'll get badly hurt, too. Garland can't run away and leave them both. "I will try to not get in the way." Garland can only hope Zeus won't try to use him to distract Kai in the coming battle. Garland can hold his own, but only for so long against the dark bitbeast.

Salima lets out a nervous chuckle, but her eyes doesn't leave him. Garland is gorgeous, fit and tanned. "You... clearly work out." Salima says in an appreciative tone.

Garland can't help but laugh lightly. So worked up in the idea she'd hate him, hearing Salima say otherwise melts away his anxiety. "I am a Prince. I need to keep fit so I can protect those I love."

Garland sighs as Kai talks. He remembers what some of the other bladers said. About Kai and his past. He stole bitbeasts with a corrupted bitbeast. It's part of why many don't like him much. Up until now, Garland wasn't sure they were telling the truth or making shit up to get more Kai haters, but it's evident the man has a dark past he's quite afraid of. And feels guilty of, considering how hard he's wanting to make sure Zeus doesn't get his way. "You and Takao beat him." Garland glances around them, feeling a little creeped out. He's sure they are being watched. "Wouldn't it be smart to perhaps get Takao out here too." Garland himself was never able to hold his own against Brooklyn. He can only imagine how quickly Zeus will beat him. Then what use would he be? Nothing but a hindrance to Kai.

Kai seems to have some sort if inkling, while Garland is hopelessly clueless. He still can't understand why it's happening now. The hotel is full of strong bladers, each ready and willing to step up and help is needed. This must be the worst place for the bitbeast and yet... Well, it's drawn two strong bladers into a dark park, so perhaps Zeus isn't as stupid as Garland was thinking.

Salima can't hide how her eyes follow Garland's hands as he starts to undress. Her heart is beating fast, she can feel her pulse in her throat. She hasn't seen many people naked. Very few, and not like this. The thought has her growing warmer.

Even pulling the shirt off himself and tossing it aside. Only then does he glance up at Salima, and notes she has been so obviously eyeing him up as he stripped.

Expect me to take this woman as a second wife?" His current wife, thankfully, is not here. Recovering from a constant sickness, the true reason they've not had children yet. Garland loathes the idea of forcing his Queen to go through such hardships when sick. Taking a second wife is common for kings such as himself, but Garland hates how this will look. Like he's replacing the Queen because she can't 'fulfil' her duties to him. Doesn't help the woman they present looks unsure herself. He wonders if she's aware what they were planning when bringing her here.

Suddenly, the silence is so loud. The weight of Garland's stare is so heavy. It is clear that Emily wasn't told everything before agreeing. Not close to everything. Luckily, she manages to keep trembling of nerves, but mostly anger, as she replies. "My name is Emily." Her voice is steady, maybe appearing a bit cold. "I was told I would... help you and your Queen have a child, nothing more."

Emily. Garland nods before sighing. "I thought as much from your reactions. You were almost as shocked as me." Garland scoffs ever so slightly. "My Queen is sick. Pregnancy would kill her and any baby that could come from it, so... There is nothing you can do in that department." They both know the lords and Emily's mother intended for her to be a consort. They want Garland to have more than one wife, much like his father and the king's before him did. Not the worst idea since it is tradition, but Garland loves his Queen dearly. He can only imagine how much this will hurt her. And then also, how many poor women will be thrown at him, just like Emily has been.

Emily's eyes widen as everyone starts to leave. Even her mother, steps back so easily. He is the king after all. The young woman swallows hard and looks up. Finding some courage, and looks at the man. Waiting for him to speak.

Unsure, yes, that is something that Emily feels a lot right now. Standing beside her mother, a wealthy businesswoman who wants a good connection to the rulers of this nation. But also, determined. Blue eyes take in the anger on the beautiful man's face. She has gone through months of physical tests to prepare for this. Yet, she wasn't expecting the title of wife coming up. "Wife?" Emily repeats, eyes moving to her mother.

They know they can bully him with this. He can even imagine his Queen giving her weak smile and saying they are right. He needs a son, and she can't give him it. "You will all leave.... Apart for you, my Lady." Garland gesture to the would be wife. He wants to know her thoughts on this before agreeing.

Garland chuckles. "Then, My Lady, I shall remove them for you." It's easier to play this game. Helps Garland not fall into that embarrassment of their situation. He wants her, but this is all so new. The want to impress and have her love him grows. Releasing her hand, he begins to work on the many buttons of his fine shirt. Slowly popping them open.

Max looks up at Garland with surprise in his eyes, and an awkward smile on his lips. The other man has been in a bad mood since they arrived at the party location, and it was starting to upset Max. The half American decided to pull the man with him to the balcony facing the ocean. "Share?' Max asks. "Share me, with who?"

Max eyes seem to sparkle a little as he looks up at Garland, interlacing their fingers tightly. "Yeah! You know I eat almost anything." Max can feel himself be hungry. And, irritation and disappointment is helping. He wants to eat a cow, forget Kai.

Garland smiles, loving the look on Max's face. He's just so damn cute and handsome. Always so happy. Garland wants to protect him even harder and keep that smile on his lips. "Should be easy to find something good then." It's not long until they are out into the streets. The cool air feeling so good after being in the party room full of people.
