As an announcement, anyone can request to interact with me and Yurika and I’ll work to keep up with the threads I have going even if I reply late. Outside of that I only plan on interacting with 2-3 characters at a time so I realize this blog won’t seem very active and I just wanted to let everyone know.

❝ Quite, I’m afraid. ❞ And yet, as the bearer of bad news (and as a fellow not especially high in spirits generally), he’s rather chipper about the sad truth of her circumstances. At the least, there’s an irreverent light-heartedness to his tone as he confirms her perhaps hopeful doubts, as though there’s something quite amusing about this all for him.

❝ What sets us ‘part from the puppets would seem to be our consciousness of our ‘reality’: we are aware that we participate in nothing more than a show, that we dance to the tune of another. But fictitious though the background against which we play is, and thus aware though we are, it remains that the show continues and we dance nevertheless. ❞

(The metaphors are perhaps easily lost on somebody under duress. Either he doesn’t appreciate this likelihood, or he’s not inclined to care.)

Hearing she got cast for a role such as this would typically be good news, but this was a completely different case. In fact, upon realizing the severity of the situation she was in she felt nothing but anger and sadness boiling inside of her. She clutched her fists into tight balls and grit her teeth, sweat dripping gently down her face as she struggled to control the heat building up inside of her. This man had nothing to do with her, this man was doing nothing but helping, he did nothing wrong... and yet, like a child she would burst out.

“That can’t possibly be right! Such a power does not actually exist! There’s no way!”

"Oh thank you, great Yurika! Whatever can I do to make this up to you?"

She giggled, but her words weren’t meant in jest. She was having fun with this whole vampire thing.

"How ‘bout we walk together? So that way if any meanie vampires show up we can both kick their butts! Like if a rival vampire shows up to challenge you, I can pretend I’m your brainwashed zombie servant and fight alongside you! They’ll be totally scared then."

Yurika pointed a finger at the other girl, a hand on her hip as her grin grew wider. Having people go along with her act always felt so good.

“A brilliant idea, my subject! I’m simply surprised Yurika herself did not come up with it.”

In the next moment she took one of the girl’s hands into her own, not dropping her over-confident gaze. Yurika pulled her along to start the adventure and return some normalcy to her life. Question is, where were they going? Upon realizing she didn’t know much about the layout of the city, Yurika had to hide her nervous smile.

But this much is irrelevant at this precise moment in time. She asks about her own circumstances, not those of the paper people who populate the city alongside them. ❝ Tell me, ❞ he implores gently, ❝ do you know the meaning of this word ‘experiment’? It was foreign to myself upon arrival. Even so, I have come to understand that you and I - as well as all our fellows - have been made to dance upon this stage for the amusement of these ‘scientists’, like puppets on a string. ❞

Even upon hearing his clear words, her head remained so cloudy. Something like this being real was simply unheard of. It couldn't be, and yet in the pit of her stomach she already knew it to be true. Her persona was shaking as sweat dripped down her face from her sudden nausea. Still, she'd keep her head held high until she confirmed reality.

"I do... but do you mean to tell me this all is real?"

If it was, when would she get to see her friends, family, and even fans again. Yurika was still just a teenage girl. She had no real powers that could save her.

"Huh?"

Clover tilted her head at the younger girl, trying to figure out just exactly she was getting at. She smiled with a sense of naivety and innocence, despite being a few years her senior.

"Are you a vampire? You’re not gonna attack me, are you? My blood’s probably not too tasty.”

The vampire let out a small laugh, showing her fanged grin as she approached the other. "Fear not, it was merely a warning. Yurika will spare you this time." And an opportunity to talk to her.

"I will accept your gratitude."

Quite the big talk for not actually being a vampire.

G-Gorgeous!?

A model? Perhaps an actress? She could just be a normal girl, but this girl certainly shined. She was so cute... like an idol. But it's not as if seeing that kind of thing could possibly surprise Yurika.

"You know, a girl walking alone at night... is a prime target for a vampire attack." Ah. Smooth.

That makes me super happy to hear! I only recently started watching anything idol related that I could find, I've been told to watch Pripara too and I really need to. The more idols the better!

Lips pull into a slight, if no less charming smile, and there’s a something that seems to twinkle in otherwise dull eyes as he lowers into a slight bow.

He has seen a few young ladies not unlike herself in the city already, but that’s hardly an excuse to forego the pleasantries she deserves.

❝ How might I assist you? ❞

The young girl had to hold back her surprise. This man was next level, so much so that she may have to be the one to keep up if he were her cast mate. This really did feel like a test. Yurika would have to hold her head high, and not let herself be surprised by anything. Her expression was highly serious, but she wouldn't let her concern show through her voice. What was there to fear, afterall?

"I fear I'm... a tad lost. What exactly is going on here?" What she was told couldn't be the real truth. "I was taken captive, you see."

This man looked nothing short of incredible. No, it wasn't just his appearance, but the very aura he gave off. Perhaps her assumption was correct, for a place to be populated with such extravagant characters it just had to be a stage. Somehow it brought her comfort... the comfort of being surrounded by kin.

"Good day. Perhaps a capable being such as yourself would be able to assist Yurika."

So many wonderful characters are joining the stage, I just can't wait to interact with everyone! Like this post if you are interested in interacting with the mighty Yurika-sama. I'll keep it short and sweet for those of simple minds.

A Whole New Stage (Intro/Open)

Yurika's pale blue eyes scanned the city. This was some elaborate test, was it not? Teleportation was just far too implausible. It did make for an interesting story though. Aha! That must be it! Yurika was mysteriously put into an acting role without being given any heads up. It was just an opportunity to shine! That's what she thought but... something about this place gave her the creeps.

Being taken from home, Yurika was still in her ordinary appearance. She was not Yurika the vampire, not currently. Getting into character without transforming first didn't feel right, and she wasn't given her ribbons. Just what kind of acting challenge was this? Was this even really a role? Maybe they want to see the regular Yurika?

No. Yurika the vampire was her signature. She pointed a finger to the sky accusingly, knowing that someone was watching her every move. "What kind of production is this? Don't make me laugh! Face Yurika properly, or I'll suck your blood!"
