Ah, my knowledge of the Draeneic language is so expert at this point that I’m finding myself having to correct Draenei on their pronounciation! I suppose it’s easy to forget such simple things as how to pronounce Krokul when you’ve been away from your planet for so long!
For all you learners out there, the correct pronunciation is Croc-hool! Happy learning!
Uh I’m half draenei and a native speaker and I can tell you its definitely not pronounced like that?
@guardianoftheparty:
*is surprised by Garona’s reaction but doesn’t let it show, and just nods at her* I will, you don’t have to worry. He’s in safe hands with me.
Good. *she leans down to ruffle Med’an’s hair, saying something in Orcish to him before disappearing back into the shadows*
@guardianoftheparty:
*smiles at Onyxia* Why thank you, what a generous offer. *decides to take initiative here considering Garona isn’t really saying anything, and goes to help Med’an up and to his feet, looking down at Garona somewhat awkwardly* Uh, do you want to come with us then? It’s your choice.
*doesn’t pay attention to the question and takes a while to respond, looking up at Medivh with pure confusion* …Did… did you heal Med’an? Why? I thought you hated him.
*looks at Garona strangely* He’s my son, why wouldn’t I have healed him? *he sighs, shaking his head* I care about him as much as you do you know, even if you try to pretend I don’t.
*still just has an expression of disbelief* ...This is new. *she thinks on this for a bit longer and then gets to her feet, nodding as if she’s decided on something now. She looks at Medivh with what might possibly be a very small smile* This is good. Look after him. He will be weak for a while, which... should not be too much of a problem, but with all the health complications he has had in the past you should watch very closely in case something is wrong. Text me if so, and I will come.

@guardianoftheparty:
*was not expecting Garona to appear and jumps slightly before sorting himself and frowning a bit at her, not really wanting her here when he’s trying to be charismatic since she can really ruin this for him* Demons attacked us, I wasn’t quick enough to defend him from one, but he’s healed now and he’s going to be fine. It’s probably a good idea to get him home right now though, he’s lost a lot of blood and needs some rest.
*pipes up at that* Oh no, rest at this stage will leave him weaker when he wakes. You’d want to get some sugar into the boy with all the blood he’s lost. *she smiles* There’s a rather lovely cafe near here that will have plenty of sweet drinks for him, and I think you deserve a good coffee after today’s heroics, Guardian. Its on me. *she smiles at Garona* Please feel free to come along as well, dear, I’m sure you’d like to keep an eye on your child.
*looks at Onyxia with very thinly-veiled hostility, but looks completely lost each time she turns her gaze back to Med’an. Its very clear that she has absolutely no idea what to do in this situation either. She doesn’t reply to Onyxia and just kneels next to Med’an, occasionally reaching out as if to help him sit up only to snatch her hands back and wring them anxiously*
@guardianoftheparty:
*nods* He should be now, he just needs some rest and time to relax after this event. *breathes a sigh of relief, though it may be entirely put on again* It was touch and go there, I was worried he wouldn’t make it.
—
*nods, making a sympathetic face* It looked rather grim. Rather ingenious of you to mind control him to heal himself– I can’t think of many people who would be comfortable with something like that. You two must share a very special bond.
*doesn’t even mention that he did it entirely without Med’an’s permission* Of course, though I wish the situation wasn’t so dire that I had to resort to mind control, it’s something I’d dare not use unless in such dire need. It can be such a harmful art if not done correctly.
Of course, I’m sure you— hmm? *looks around, feeling a change in the wind*
*appears from the shadows, daggers drawn and looking really fuckin concerned. She looks down at Med'an, who is alive but still bloody and not really totally conscious, and then to Medivh with an expression of suspicion* What happened here? What happened to my son?
@malfurioustormraging:
Perhaps I should! I’ll think about that, maybe I could collect a group of like-minded druids together to explore the plant life on Draenor, it would be highly educational! *he seems pretty pleased by this conversation* Thank you for the advice, it has been most helpful!
*nods, giving a polite smile as she knew was custom* You are welcome. I will go to find my rogue friends now. We are supposed to be meeting up.
@malfurioustormraging:
Really? I do know some shamans myself, do you know Thrall? He’s actually a close friend of mine! *frowns and thinks at the mention of deadly plants* Have you perhaps tried talking to the plants, maybe they’re attacking because they’re annoyed or scared, I’m sure there’s a simple reason for what they’re doing.
Thrall and I get along well. He allowed me to join the Horde, despite being only half orc. Hm. The plants attack because they are hungry. Anything living is food to them.
Ah yes, Thrall is a rather decent fellow isn’t he? And if the plants are hungry, have you tried feeding them? Then they probably won’t attack instead!
The plants’ hunger is endless. They would not be satisfied until they had devoured the whole world. It is hard to explain. Perhaps you should see them for yourself. Perhaps you would find the root of their hunger.

Well, I think with that advice I might put off a trip there for the time being. I wouldn’t want to be attacked by any birds! That would be incredibly strange for a druid, we’re generally friends to all creatures!
—
I have encountered many druids on Azeroth. Some are as ferocious as the beasts they befriend. Others prefer to plant flowers and weep when a tree is felled. It is strange.
We all do have different ways of working, but all of us have one driving goal, which is to respect nature in all its forms. It’s just a matter of us all being individuals with different ways of seeing how we should work with the world around us.
Hmm. My son is fond of nature. Though he is closer to a shaman than a druid. The nature on Draenor was as hostile as everything else there. It would not be unusual to be killed by a sentient plant.

*is a bit confused by that explanation, not really getting it, so just nods as though he knows what Garona means* Ah, how interesting! I also handmade my mask, the birds of Teldrassil kindly donated some feathers to add to it! *he points to the mask he’s wearing, which is actually a pretty well made moonkin inspired mask*
*she examines it, nodding in approval* It is nice. It reminds me a little of the arakkoa.
Thank you! I uh, don’t exactly know what an arakkoa is, but I feel they’re probably some bird like creature? Are they perhaps native to Draenor? I haven’t been there all that much yet.
They are. They may look friendly, but are not to be underestimated. Draenor is a hostile place. Also a boring one.

Hello do you all like my mask? It’s made from Cho’Gall :)
*is walking past and notices Garona’s mask* Oh my, how realistic your mask looks! How did you make a mask that looks so much like an actual ogre?
Well first I removed one of the heads and made a careful incision around the perimeter of the face with my thinnest dagger. I then pulled a corner of skin free and peeled it away from the musculature and bone below-- that was difficult to to, as flesh can tear easily. Once removed, I dried the flesh with salt and heat and threaded a metal wire through the eye sockets. I then fastened the wire at the back, creating the mask.
