As far as superiors went Garrett Gray certainly wasn’t the worst. He took his job seriously without feeling the need to be douchey to assert dominance. If anything, actually, Alexis found they shared a lot of common personality wise. Just two peas in a pod with a habit of being stampeded over by others. She hadn’t meant to eavesdrop on his conversation but there were only so many places to stand when everyone else wanted you out of their way. “You’re probably too civilized to thrive as a goblin,” Lexie offers with a sympathetic smile. “Plus, you give off more of a banshee vibe anyway.” Was any of this commentary particularly helpful? Not in the slightest but it offers enough of a distraction for Lexie to dig out a pair of keys from her bag. “I brought one of my dad’s fast cars today. Wanna take it for a ride? It’s almost lunch and if I’m not mistaken you owe me a meal from last week.”
He’s quite content to be relegated into the background these days. Garrett’s proud of his job, and prouder, still, to keep his sanity relatively in check whilst surrounded by a rowdier cast and crew. However, he’s a bit more high-strung than he cares to admit — and during these episodes, he’s glad to have found someone among the crew who was not averse to ride along with his less conventional coping mechanisms. For one, his imagined life as a goblin. “You may be right,” begins Garrett, sighing in response, “I’d miss the internet, the people. But I think if you bury me with enough movies, I can get by.” At Alexis’s own assessment, he chuckles warmly, “hm, that’s interesting. But I dunno, Alexis — if I turn into a banshee this instant, I’ll lose my job.” A curious brow rises at her next suggestion, but he’s less. “I know by definition that it’s a fast car, but — maaaybe if you drive slowly, I’ll take you up on your offer. You probably already guessed it, but I can’t stomach any more than thirty miles an hour.”
