Manako follows Shou to the building, wondering what the purpose of it was for. Well, maybe it was a place to keep all of their stuff?

She waits as she allows her friend to do what she needs to do until she lets out a gasp seeing what was happening, which was sadly cut short as she was easily dragged away

"What's happening? W-what are we doing?"

Idiot, put your own happiness before agreeing to some nonsense like this! You'll end up as nothing but a tool. What about your agency? Is this what you want out of your life?! ...easy Susie, you know that's just how she is. More importantly, this is the moment-

"Here here, sit, I'll be back in an instant-", and she was already gone, barely after instructing Manako to place herself on this rather simple raised structure. Upon inspection it would prove to be far more comfortable than expected at least. Almost like a futon?

Just shortly after, Susie reappeared behind Manako out of thin air- "Someone's coming. Just focus a little and you'll be able to hear their thoughts, however they won't be able to perceive us."

It wouldn't be long for a person to enter in the front. They would maybe stare at the shrine for a bit before offering a little bit of money and ringing the bell, clapping their hands and going silent in prayer.

Manako does as she was instructed, nodding as she heard that Shou would be back. She wriggles a bit as she sat on this object taking note that it wasn't bad to sit on.

She lost track of time as she waited patiently until she suddenly heard shou causing her to let out a cute squeak.

"Soneone coming? Hearing their thoughts? W-wait..."

As soon as someone came by the poor cupid looked flustered, looking at them staring at the shrine. Her pink heartfilled eyes watches the person's actions and wondering what their prayer will be. Could it be something of love?

Though, her ears would soon hear something, a voice that whispers 'O goddess, please hear me as I pray for good fortune to come my way soon.'

Upon making their prayer after some time they would slowly stand and walk away from the shrine.

"Why was I able to hear their prayers? Is this part of your powers Shou or this shrine's?"

I always love thinking of Sethy fighting real hard, like being in a last stand. Sethy is a tough fighter! He may look it, but he really can take a beating!
